@Keo23 @Jhonny Thanks loads, everyone! It's a foreclosure property and we didn't really fancy it when we first saw it but his aunt, realtor, convinced us that this is a good property to get and after taking a look at the inside, le hubby found that it indeed was true! We had to scramble to put up an offer, and we were told that cash offer will be stronger. I wasn't expecting to pay for a whole house in cash, but I am glad I did :D Man, buying a house there is a totally different thing altogether. Here, we buy apartments. And it is easy-peasy. No need to worry about insulation or heating or whatever!

Sorry folks, I am not here as often as I used to be! We have landed ourselves a great house and I was very busy with that (long distance home buying... fun stuff). To cut the long story short, we decided to pay for the house fully in cash and that required some calculation and moving of money, on top of paperwork to make offer and all.

In case anyone has not seen, my interview was moved from 12 to 20 June, thanks to that summit between Trump and Kim, which has just been cancelled. Still waiting to see if they will reinstate my original date!

If you guys need me for anything just PM me or tag me in the post as I do still check my email every day and if I get an alert I will see it :)

Congrats on the new place. How strange, they needed to shutdown the entire embassy for the summit? I guess they only have one in Singapore then.

Hey everyone. Hope everyone's cases are moving along super fast! This week I got our case #, our invoice #, was e-mailed that our welcome packet has been mailed to my U.S. address and was able to log into ceac, and fill out the DS-261 and print out the confirmation page. The "pay now" links for the AOS and IV fee seem to be functional but everytime  I click them I am sent this error message (posted below). Is this error message due to that they are currently processing the DS-261? How long does that usually take? Also how do you know when it is fully processed and you can pay the AOS fee?

Thanks for all the help! Sending best wishes everyone's way as well!

Well, considering you can fly across the entire country in just 7 minutes, having one embassy is plenty 😁

True, I don't even know why that's surprising to me considering Canada, even given the landmass, only has 1 embassy that handles immigrant visas. I'm curious too if you'll hear back from Singapore and get bumped back up.

Knowing Trump’s volatility, I guess not. Now he’s saying it could still happen 🤷‍♀️

I should've posted it here, first, lol

OMG! So, I called the NVC, just now, to see if I have been given a case number. The first operator told me that my case was sent to CEAC (Pivot Case), and I needed to hang up and press option 5. Did that, and the operator told me that although I was approved April 19th, and the NVC received it on May 2nd, the approximate 8 week countdown starts when CEAC received my case, which was May 9th! She said it was how long it would take to do some data entry on a case...ummm.....what?! The heck you got to type that takes 8 weeks? It's electronic anyways, so let me type it, then, goodness! Just needed to vent, but I'm alright lol :)
