Hey guys.Thank you very much for your help.I have a quick question.I'm filling up the forms and i filled them all on the computer ,and in all the forms on the answers it doesn't let me type N/A ,so i wrote none ,and some boxes i left blank like it asks for family name 2-3-4 and i just wrote none on the first box .That should be fine right ?

None is more for answering with numbers...(like zero)

N/A is more for when something being asked doesn't apply to your situation.  I would suggest putting N/A in the first box when it comes to previous names, prior addresses, etc.

Personally, I just left the boxes blank altogether, unless I was putting N/A to a sub-question (Part A or B sections underneath the "main" question) that didn't apply to me.  I know, I know, USCIS says "don't leave any boxes blank" (imaginary wagging finger)...but many people do, actually, just personal preference---do what you feel comfortable with, of course..but I would suggest for sake of confusion to only use "none" when referring to the number zero (like number of children, for example.)

Also, you are allowed to write in N/A (if you cannot type it into the form) in black ink after printing out the paperwork if you want, too.

man i have all the forms i wrote None ,cause on the numbers i either wrote 0 ,or i couldn't write anything .I left blank where some of the things that don't apply at all,but most cases i wrote none like family questions that have like member 1,member 2,memeber 3 i just wrote none on the first box.I think it shouldn't be a problem since they sucking state to type N/A and you cannot type N/A anywhere ,cause it pops up saying you can't use symbols. You think they can give me trouble just for that? 😓

Oh with the N/A some people just have left off the /  to get around the "no symbols" part.

I don't think you'll run into any issues with the way you've done it.  Anyone with two brain cells could put together what you meant by typing "none".

Let's hope the person reading your application has more than two brain cells.

I sent my application on August 5th 2017 and got my 3 e-notifications on August 10th 2017. I don't have a middle name and in all the forms I have put N/A at Middle Name and in other sections where you are not required to fill information for example Interpreter sections...I've just left it blank.

Heh---funny story.  There was someone on here a while back who put "None" as the middle name, and his NOA receipt form came to him as (to use generic names) John None Smith

LOL

That's definitely funny ! people send photocopies of passport and visa for a reason ! and it's the processing officer who should look into these details properly.

I don't think you have anything to be worried about.

Er...unless you're secretly a mass murderer or something and neglected to mention that on the form.
