Obama, Hillary Set To Hit The Campaign Trail Again

Both former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are working on plans to campaign for Democrats in 2018, and Democrats worry they plan to change the direction of the Party.

Aides to Obama told The Hill’s Amie Parnes he is looking to resurface on the national campaign stage. Parnes also reported Tuesday that Clinton is trying to sort out what role she might play in the midterm elections.

Parnes has written several books about the Clinton and Obama races.

Although the pair bring a lot of fundraising firepower to a very crowded field of needy Democratic candidates, party insiders worry about who would control the party if either past candidate became too influential.

 

“He has to be careful,” Julian Zelizer, a professor of history and public affairs at Princeton University told The Hill. “At a moment when President Trump’s approval is falling so fast — including with his base — there is a risk for Obama taking center stage and triggering the energy that many Republicans currently lack.”

The latter quote seems to go on the presumption that attention on Trump is bad for him.. I thought the election put this idea to rest.

I hope she runs again.  The DNC primaries will be rigged and she will go up against Trump again and still lose regardless of the popular vote.

Agreed, Hillary really won. Donald just doesn't know it yet. Just hate people that are in denial of the truth.

All those polls before the election turned out to be pretty accurate didn't they? I bet the polling of Trump's approval rating is just as accurate.

Due to Trump getting the lions share of the media coverage.....the division within the democrat party is being overlooked. 

 

I venture over to thewayofthebern occasionally.  They are not going to forget about the rigged primary. Most are still happy they voted third party and they still want Hillary locked up. Most do hate Trump.....but are not going to give in to the cheating ways of the democrat party.

 

The hillbots hate Bernie sanders and all who support him.

That is an interesting take given the article from The Nation.  This publication has no love for Trump, but I think they are seeing through the narrative created by the mainstream Dems and their cohorts in the media.  It seems they would rather expose a DNC insider than believe the Russian lie.
