Wondering since K1 has to have a seperate application that K2, can they have seperate sponsors?

Also I read that ssdi ( social security disability) (Not welfare) is counted as income but then see where some consulates decide to use their own rules. If I get ssdi but am in the program through ssdi to return working. Does my taxable income only count. I am asking because I have seen a lot where some say they go by line 22 on the 1040 tax form only. That line would not include the ssdi income on line 20a. I have heard to attach them but just wondering if they care to look. It's the consulate in Vietnam.

You need to be more clear. You are receiving SSDI disability income AND working? And you expect to go off SSDI soon? This is not a temporary program. What is your taxable income? How are your getting SSDI and yet expect to go off SSDI? For the most part, SSDI is for long-term disabilities. If you are enrolled in SSDI or any SS long-term benefits program, you better be sure that you are permanently or long-term disabled. This isn't a worker's comp or temporary program. And you would have paid into this. This sounds suspicious, but I'm not sure what your are talking about. You will likely need more co-sponsorship because I doubt your disability check is going to be enough. SSDI is welfare, and that's the way the feds will look at it.

I am aware of what Social Security Disability is. And was deemed permently disabled 10 years ago. They do have programs which allow a person to return to the workforce. Because it's not fun for working class people to have 2 profitable businesses and then become permenatly disabled and be paid a lot less. And Social Security retirement/disability goes by what you paid in and some get paid well. Not well enough for me. Mine meets guidlines for sure but want to know how it's included on the I-134.

Nothing suspicious about it. Read the red book from ssa or go to their site and read return to work programs. Social security disability is not welfare. It was paid in the same as Social security retirement.

Its not a diability check as from a state funded welfare program which we do not pay into.

SSI, Medicaid, food stamps, etc are welfare. Ssdi not considered welfare at consulates as retirement is not.

My question was since the consulates look at line 22 on the tax return for gross taxable income. And being Social Security, retirement or disability go on line 20A and are not added when adding line 7 through 21 to get the total for line 22. Do you attach your SSA-1099 to form I134?

Also Consilates frown upon co Sponsors for a I-134 affidavit. It is not like and does not have the legally binding contract as the I-864.

And SSDI is not considered welfare.
