Hi! I haven't been on here for a long time, but I am trying to gauge how much more time my husband and I will have to wait before we can travel. We applied for the green card at the end of January, and he had his bio appointment at the end of February. We haven't seen any forward motion since then. Did anyone else apply around the same time as us? What progress do you have?

I see you had an RFE...this can sometimes reset the clock on your application but from what I've read it can be hit and miss (I'll admit I'm not completely clear on this as I didn't have to deal with it, others on here might know better)

I filed a month before you and had my interview this week after submitting a service request...so on a normal timeline (depending on the RFE) you could be looking at something next month, I think the standard for AOS is at least 6 months before putting in an SR. Good luck

Hi

Filed in January AOS married to a USC‚ PD 1/17 Los Angeles field office.

We had the interview on 6/7 and was approved 6/8 for a 10 year green card (in hand since 6/16).

There are many different factors that affect processing times so it's hard to say what timeframe to expect outside of looking at the processing times for your field office.

Our case was processed ahead of normal processing time (the latest bulletin for I-485 for Los Angeles shows processing 12/21/2016) and this is possibly due to the fact that I had previously applied for AOS in 1989 with my wife of the time and had already been assigned an Alien Registration # and Social Security #. I was approved at the time and had my passport stamped with an I-551 notice but never completed the process due to us separating and divorcing before the two years was up.

I received a 10 year green card because I have been married to my current wife a US citizen (US born) for 17 years now.

I applied for an EAD (received on 5/11) but never applied for AP.

Okay. The RFE was in March and said that my dad's(our sponsor as I have not been living/working the US for the past few years) income didn't meet the requirements when he tripled the requirements. So, it was completely ridiculous anyway. It's like they didn't read the paperwork correctly, so it's frustrating.
