What documents should we bring to re-enter the U.S. on the basis of the employment authorization and I-512 advance parole combo card?

What are some of the questions a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer may ask?

We want to make sure the airline employees would allow us toboard the flight to the U.S., and that we have all the documents needed to request parole at the port-of-entry when returning from abroad (filed for adjustment of status after marriage in the U.S.; entered the U.S. on K-1 visa). Thank you!

I brought my AOS application (minus financial support docs to keep it light) and relevant documents just in case, but never needed them. Used AP combo card three times as follows:

POE JFK: 2 questions - what was the reason for your trip (see family and friends)...how are they all (great thanks :))

POE Toronto (immigration done before boarding in Canada): no questions, out in 5 minutes

POE JFK: no questions

So go prepared for peace of mind, but you'll be absolutely fine!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. :)
