Partially true. Bush did nothing and Clinton made a deal with them assuring us that nk would diasmantle it's nuclear ambitions.  Obviously as big a failure as Obama.

nothing really tops the hot air of fail that came out of trump's gaw today. talk about painting himself into a corner..pretty heavy red line he's drawn. how can a 'hyper' power talk about 'sticking up' for the very same people he's threatening to unleash 'worse than fire and fury' on?

It's the big heart Dear Leader is fond of bragging about. He promises he will feel really sad about the North Korean citizens he vaporizes. Cool fact, his 'fire and fury' will be paid for by the payroll money he thanked Putin for saving us by expelling our Russian diplomatic staff. So much winning!

yeah, diplomatic staff don't need to be there but at the same time trump wonders why liberals don't want the us to have a great relationship with russia. trump talks out of all sides of his mouth at once.

Quite a few parallels between the deal Clinton made with N Korea and the deal Obama made with Iran. All 3(including Bush) were useless against both countries.

 

Anyways, Trump's dealing with N Korea is actually one of the very few things these days that I don't have a problem with him doing. Somebody needs to put them in their place finally...they knew they can't take Obama seriously, the mere "crazy, unpredictable" factor of Trump could serve as a deterrent, before you know it he'll be the first to use nukes since WWII...lets see what Kim Jong Un does with that prospect.

IMO, Kim is just playing his usual game. He got the reaction he wanted from Trump. It will be great for his propaganda convincing his people that the US is the enemy and wants to destroy them. Makes him look like a tough guy threatening e US. He must know that he doesn't stand the least bit of chance in a military conflict with the US. The world knows the US can vaporize North Korea without anyone speaking a word.

Well, now Kim is in a tough spot. If he doesn't put his money where his mouth is, doesn't make him look too good, and only makes the US look better imo. If he does, you know Trump will respond. Either case N Korea comes out the big loser here. Time to put em in their place.

Kim isn't going to look bad in North Korea. The people only know what the government tells them. They have no access to the outside world. He'll tell them the US backed down. They should have been put in their place decades ago, maybe after the tree cutting incident.

Or one of their favorite utopias such as Cuba or Venezuela.  

 

I was was listening to MPR a while back and the host was going on and on about her upcoming trip to Cuba. All the great places to see,the people, the culture...blah,blah blah. 

 

Never heard art a word about the trip after she got back.
