N400: marriage certificate ?

Q# 1:   Marriage Certificate as required document to submit for N400.

 i dont know if there has asian applicant in this forum. In my case, i was married year ago out of the U.S. .The marriage certificate issued in my home country is non-english(mother language) . but before moving to U.S, we requested official certified copy and english translation copy from the notary department of the government. Back years ago,we simply used the photocopies of these official documents for filing for I-485 with no problem,no RFE regarding to the marriage certificate and received green cards very smoothly.

 

now for the N400 e-filing, am i able to upload the same documents simply as proof of marriage ? Do i need to get a certified something from my county clerk office in the U.S. or something ? 

 

Q#2 : when e-filing N400, am i able to file N400 for my spouse and myself (2 applicants) under the same registered account ? or we have to open two accounts and e-file separately ?

Yes you can upload the same photocopied documents.  No, you do not need to get anything regarding your marriage from the US (they wouldn't be able to provide you with anything, anyhow, since the marriage took place outside of the US).  Make sure to have the original documents to show at your interview.

You would have to open two separate accounts, since they are two separate applicants.  It's better that way, anyhow, since you won't have any confusion about whether certain RFEs/status updates apply to either one or the other person.
