Just wondering if anyone has idea how long NVC is taking to review the docs after review department picks up the file? My docs were scanned at the beginning of July and were picked up by doc review department (based on my conversation with NVC customer support personnel) at the end of July. Based on NVC website, it can take up to 11 weeks to review the docs from the date they scan the doc.

Since the docs are already in review department, does anyone has any idea how long it takes for them to review docs after it is picked up by review department?

NVC customer service is not known for their accuracy.  I would estimate 9 to 11 weeks from your scan date.......providing you don't get a checklist........A checklist will delay the case another 9 to 11 weeks.

Good Luck in your journey.

Missileman,

In your case i see that you had "Supervisor Review", how do i know the status of supervisor review? When i call NVC, the customer support representative says that the doc has been picked up by the review department but they don't tell me whether the actual review has been started or not? So i guess it will give some relief if i can find out whether supervisor review has been started or not?

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what a "Supervisor Review" really is/was.  I personally think it meant the case was flagged after 6 weeks........unfortunately, I haven't heard of anyone getting any other solid information about the progress of their case during the NVC phase..

I remember when it had  been close to 11 weeks since my scan date and I called to check the status I was told that the file has been picked up for review and if  all is well I would be receiving a case complete. However if your scan date was beginning of July I would be surprised if your file has already been picked up for review because I do know that NVC takes anywhere from 9-11 weeks. @vjjmember111

People are saying that recently there are some cases taking just 4-6 weeks :)

When i called them they give told me file has already been picked up by review dept. It has been two weeks already since that department picked up my file. so hopefully they will complete review soon.

I guess the puzzle is if the file is picked up for review, does that mean they start reviewing right away or it again goes into a pile waiting for them for review?
