Can I just call Nvc to see if they've received our case even if I don't know I've been approved yet?

You can call them but they will just inform you to wait until you received a letter from USCIS whether it is NOA2 or RFE.

They won't have anything unless you had NOA2 from USCIS. Wait for that. Ours took exactly 140 days.

They won't have anything in their system if your I-129F petition hasn't been approved and sent to the NVC yet. You could call, but it's a waste of time if you did not get approved yet.

Well, sure it's not a common thing, but I recall at least two cases right now, one from March and the other one Jan/Feb, where the beneficiary was contacted by the Embassy or they got a NVC letter, and never heard from USCIS when their case was Approved or got the NOA2 in the mail.

Those are weird days when it comes to USCIS :blink:
