Its no surprise that along aside the lazy commoner who wants more for nothing, you have businesses likewise coming to the government for handouts, also have government imposing mandates upon people for private products such as auto insurance, homeowners insurance, etc.

 

Such dumb logic decreases financial intelligence of businesses especially in the realm of credit, so they inherently take more stupid risk that they otherwise wouldn't if they were responsible for collateral rather than the taxpayer funding their risk. When government gets involve to save people from their own stupidity, it's pretty clear it doesn't stop them from being stupid, in fact, is a mandate to be stupid. Similar logic was given to lefties regarding Obamacare and Obama pitching the idea that a mandate would result in lower prices.. people were warned it wasn't. Guess some learn slower than others.

Personally I'd wanna replace the Statue of Liberty with a statue of Jules from Pulp Fiction pointing a gun at NYC going "say what again".

 

Being the bargaining type, I'd settle for Walter from the Big Lebowski, same pose, going "mark it zero" (leaving many "am I the only one" meme'ists disappointed and wanting).
