It really depends on the embassy. Some embassy will assign you a date via an interview appointment letter. Some embassy requires the K-1 applicant to schedule their interview online. Fill in your timeline so that more appropriate responses could be given to you.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Problem is that I didn't get any letter from embassy though it's been 20days since they received my case from NVC. So my lawyer filled DS160 and system gave us available date for interview what we booked. I hope that will not be a problem to have successfully interview.

Submitting a DS-160 and paying the visa fee in advance is not a problem. However, did you get your Packet 3 from the local embassy outlining the things that you need to do prior to scheduling and attending the visa interview?
