It strikes me when people make multiple one after the other comments.  Thinking out loud I guess.

For those (like me!) who have no cable more detail is needed!   What confession?!  Please tell.

Jungle boy who probably is now croc bait, digested and gone, confessed that he had a criminal past which included a felony conviction of arson, burning down his own house, and he received a restraining order from his lovey dovey for because he did God Knows what.  Lmfao... he ran off like a dimwhit, running like he was touched in the head, "oh, but I forgot he is"... and when he got to the water reservoir , "He was ranting I'm going to through myself in, maybe I'll get a disease by entering this water, blah blah blah..."  Ha ha but he kept trying to wade in, touching his feet in the water, etc etc... Hillarious!  If I was Karine I would have pushed him in and went and found me a real man!  He only had chipmunk nuggets!

If he needed to use his 401K to pay for a measly trip to the Philippines, how does he plan to sponsor and support her?

Anyway, how do you even cash out your 401K before retirement age?  My plan allows withdrawals for certain reasons but "to buy a ticket to meet my girlfriend that I met online 2 months ago" isn't one of them.

As we know the weekly episodes are on Sunday night.  What is the deal with these "extended" episodes they show on Monday night?  Anything more than Sunday?

You can takes loans out against your 401k.  Its just like a regular loan.  Working for the fed gov you could have 3 loans out at one time against your 401k.  You mentioned your plan would not allow it, perhaps there are different plans.  We were able to withdraw it for any reason we wanted as long as it was paid back in 'x' amount of time.  To sponsor someone or to support someone, you would not need a 401k.  You would just have to prove you have enough annual income coming in each month/yearly.  Above poverty guidelines.  So, even if he did not have any 401k, as long as he lived above poverty guidelines, he would be able to sponsor her and support her.  (By the looks of the condition of his house, even with the use of his 401k, he's slightly above unless he's hiding it in mason jars! lol)

You missed my point. I know how 401k plans work.  All of them let you borrow from yourself, but that means less money in each paychcek until you pay yourself back with interest.  But he clearly said that he "cashed out" his 401k to pay for the trip.   But that's semantics, and not the point I was trying to make.  My point is that if he has to cashout his 401k to pay for one stupid trip which costs a few thousand dollars, he's most likely living paycheck to paycheck.  And working at McDonald's, I don't think he's doing much better than barely getting by.  So how's he gonna sponsor and support his woman if he barely gets by himself.

Sitting here staring at this and this, after reading the last three prior posts.. and I guess tou could say my husband was one of 'those foreigners' who found this 'USC attractive '.  Seriously some petty remarks being written here.  Not that its anyones business  but we made a pretty good salary working for the government,  lived comfortable until the unplanned came and filed for divorced.  Went to work and college for the first time in my life and was low income.  No my 'foreign' fiance sure didnt choose this 'USC' for my income.  He was sponsored by my best friend because I couldnt afford it.  I was one of 'those' that was barely getting by.  Now I have more than I can ask for with be the owner of two business's and very happily married.  Those comments were a bit prejudicial.  Of course..  why would someone like 'that' choose someone like me.  Perhaps because I'm beautiful,  strong, independent,  loving, and worth being loved.  No better or worse than any of you. No better or worse than any one that makes more or less money than me.

Not sure why you need to feel defensive here when you knew your circumstances did not fit the scenario that is discussed in this thread.

- creepy/weird USC, hardly can make ends meet themselves, flying overseas to meet their so-called 'true love' (e.g. Danielle and Mohamed. seriously who will find USC Danielle attractive? And I am not even talking about physical attractiveness here)

- bring the foreign half over to US, yet has no money file AOS (for years!)

- expect the foreign half to slave for them, hold their immigration status constantly over their head.

Have you seen this thread 2 weeks ago?

Classic example of USC who should not petition for foreign spouse.

I totally understand and agree with you.  Honestly, there have been other posts on this thread about the people's appearances that I find catty and unnecessary.  BUT, I don't come to this thread for polite discourse and positive suggestions of how these ridiculous couples could make it work.  I come here for s*** talking catharsis.  I ignore the posts I don't like, and move on with my life.  I love this thread, I love the posts, and it makes me laugh.  The show is the epitome of losers, and that's why it's so fun to watch and talk about! :D

I too have tried to encourage people to think before they comment. It does not work. I'm sorry these comments touched something sensitive - I can imagine these are thoughts you have heard before in your journey. Rest assured that you know your own mind and heart, and you are all that matters. Not the outside world.

For me the most disgusting aspect of this thread is the ####### shaming and the body image negativity. Women are allowed to have sex with whomever they want, whenever they want and it says literally nothing about their "character". Women can also be fat and it is totally fine. Stop policing our bodies.

Yes, yes, I know - "it's just a thread in fun - you should laugh". No it's not. And no I shouldn't. It is the underlying truth of a pervasive culture that rears its ugly head in the confines of a quiet internet where there are no advocates, only rabble mobs run amuck.

Nobody ever said that women aren't allowed to sleep with whomever they want.  But there's a certain name for women who sleep around.  And I think it speaks A LOT about their "character".  That's why when the Filipina said that ALL her past American boyfriends were different, I think that says a lot.  And not exactly in a positive way. Americans who travel abroad sleep with these women, there's no way in hell that's she's a virgin.  And I think he probably knows that she's lying about that but he doesn't care, he's going to petition her no matter what and she'll accept no matter what.  And they'll be divorced in 9-12 months, shortly after the GC arrives.

And I'm assuming I'm one of the people you are referencing in this post for calling Nicole "the fat chick".  It was a description, not a judgement.  I couldn't remember her name.
