I just caught up with this on my DVR....

 

Haitian couple: Yes she wants an easy life and greencard, yes he is smitten. I don't actually see anything wrong with that, as long as both knowingly go into the relationship on these terms. Like Anna Nicole Smith and her super rich, super old husband, as long as they both get out of it what they want, have at it. I think this could work.

 

Amazon couple:  Oh boy.  This will be the ratings winner, and the one that doesn't work.  Creep factor, language issues, and she seems nice but naive.  They might make it to the visa, but long term, I can't see her be happy in some US suburb. On the issue of her having internet, many of these tiny villages apparently have internet cafes where the owner can help you get in touch with family who moved to the big city, or new friends abroad...

 

Amsterdam couple: They suit eachother, both more into their own looks and potential TV ratings than eachother.  It'll end up being an explosive relationship, but could last.

 

Spain: I wonder if he turns out to be an African catfish.

@Penguin_ie I totally agree about the Haitian couple! He gets the pretty wife, she gets money for her family, everyone wins. That's honestly how I thought Jorge & Anfisa would work out. But he didn't have enough money for her, lied about it, went into debt to maintain her, then she left him.

I'm starting to like this show.

 

First, this Darcy woman is crazy.  Yep, they are both so conceited that they are prefect for each other.  Their superficial relationship will last at most halfway through the 6 weeks she is supposed to be there.  I think she'll be leaving Amsterdam early.

She is too desperate.  This nutjob is dropping marriage hints every 10 minutes.  You could tell he's getting annoyed.  Listening and watching his expression while she was talking about the ring she bought herself to signify their relationship was comical.  "Look at the size of that rock".  She is too materialistic.  He seems like he is too but she is managing to even freak him out a little with her cooky-ness.  And then the big question.  "Are you ready to change your facebook status?".  That right there pretty much symbolizes today's society.  It seems like many people are more concerned with making sure that others know everything about them.  Like the people who "check in" from Dunkin Donuts or  a train station.  WHO CARES!!!  You're not that important.  But this chick is plain nuts.  I like his reaction.  He was being polite but you could tell he was very disturbed.  I think he's regretting his decision already after 1 day. 

 

She is really out of shape and he is a total exercise freak it seems.  She does a decent job of hiding her gut well in clothes but when she was going to bed that fits night she looked big.  Who knows, maybe he likes "voluptuous" women.  And she was going to bed with her full makeup on.  He made her take it off.  It was funny because it was obvious that she didn't want to, but she didn't want to piss him off either, so she removed it.

 

And even he mentioned it to the cameras, everything he does for her, she overblows out of proportion.  "Oh my god, this is like a dream" and "This is the most beautiful thing...".  It has been so long since "I was in a relationship", "A man pulled out a chair for me", "I had a romantic dinner", "I got flowers", "I took a romantic walk"  BLAH BLAH BLAH    She is making me want to dump her...

Mosquito boy is made for reality TV.  He is just spastic, and he seems to lack social skills, he's just very awkward.  He only knows about 5 words of Portuguese and he managed to misuse them, telling the taxi driver that he loves him.  That look that the driver gave was priceless.  Then when she picked him up and it awkward silence.  Birds chirping.  Time to break out the google translate.  Lets hope they never lose the cell signal, or they will just sit in silence.  Next week should be fun when he meets the family.  It's like in the movies when an immigrant comes to the US and speaks no English.  As a person is speaking to them, the immigrant recognizes one word and they go back and forth repeating it.  She was telling him something and said the word "familia"  and he recognized it as "family" and they just kept repeating it back and forth.

 

Next week’s preview had him telling the cameras that he will not be "intimate with her" until she gets the full STD and pregnancy tests since "he doesn't know who she's been with".  I don't think he plans to use protection.  Weirdo.

The 47 year old guy and his "Caribbean princess" is a stereotypical old creep preying on a young girl.  The problem is that it's actually reversed.  She is the one preying on him and he's too dumb to realize it.  This girl is a pro, she knows what she’s doing.  She’ll get the GC and be out quick, after bleeding him dry.  Laptop and Ipad, and $2500 worth of crappy clothes for her to resell to make sure that she has money coming in. 

 

Meanwhile she has her real boyfriend/client waiting in the wings and this guy can sense it, but she’ll sweet talk him into signing the visa paperwork.  The way he stares at her is creepy.  The stuff he says is even creepier, like she’s “the most beautiful woman that he’s ever seen”.  I guess when you’re locked up in the basement all your life…  Couple things come to mind… “Clarice…” and “Put the lotion in the basket…”.

The new blond girl from Orlando is the stereotypical dumb blonde it looks like.  She’s a slow learner.  I can’t understand how people who meet online get engaged without ever meeting in person.  We have seen some people on this forum complain about having to go meet in person before they can mail in the K1 paperwork.  But they usually video chat and talk on the phone.  How does somebody think that they are in a real relationship when they have never even video chatted or spoken on the phone.  The fact that he goes out o his way to avoid video chatting or phone calls tells me that it’s 100% catfish.  I can understand not doing the video chat if it’s a catfish, but he must have a heavy accent if he won’t even talk on the phone.  He’s not Spanish, he’s African or Asian.

And she has gotten catfished before by some Indian guy who sent her pics of Bollywood movie star, and she fell for it.  Only when her Indian girlfriend recognized them, did it blow up the guy’s story.  And she’s at it again.  This girl seems dumb.  I think like somebody said she’ll go to Spain and meet with an African or another Indian.  And maybe he’ll talk her into giving him a chance and she’ll get engaged to him.  I can see her father having a heart attack when she tells them the good news about the African guy.  This could get interesting.

Apparently Darcy and Jesse are no longer together. She posted something on Facebook that strongly suggested they weren't together after they went on a trip to Greece together but she had to remove it because of their contract with the show.

 

Am I the only one who thinks she looks like Pete Burns?

So Darcey and Jesse went to dinner so nut case could meet Jesse's mom and step dad. OMG! Jesse's mom and husband are eccentric!! Cross between Woodstock, eccentric artist, hippies, i don't even know anymore words to explain it!! The step dad is very direct and basically told nut case, you just met a day ago and are talking marriage. Jesse even was at a loss for words it seemed. The best was when the step dad told Jesse he is in another league then Darcey is lol the look on her face  Now she is even talking babies 

 

Jungle boy met Karine's parents, and asked if she could stay at the hotel with him. They said well she is an adult, but he wont be intimate with her until she has a STD and pregnancy test. He surprised her with stuffed animals and chocolate and the mosquito net over the bed lol I think she even thought w t h. 

 

The girl from Orlando is off to meet her porn star/catfish man in Spain. When her parents asked her had she booked a hostel, she said no, i will sleep on his couch. She is so naive, i am sure that's why they wanted her for the show.

 

The new guy from Kentucky seems decent, single father,, co parents with the baby momma. He is some DJ and has been talking to a girl from Paris, which he plans to go meet. She is Muslim, doesnt know about his baby and from what i gather she has a secret she has kept also.

Mosquito boy continues to be the main reason to watch but Darcey is quickly closing ground on him.  Holy crappola is she sick.  That woman needs a psychologist.  She has some deep self-esteem, insecurity, fear of abandonment issues.  She keeps talking about them marrying.  They went to his parents house.  They are like American hippies squared.  I can't even find the words to describe the house and their style.  The stepfather has painted nails, some kind of red nose piercings, and a pony tail on top of his head that you can probably see around the Vilage gay clubs.  Darcey's boyfriend (is it Jesse?) warned the viewers that his stepfather has no filter and is very direct.  And he was.

He asks his stepson, "I know what she's getting out of this relationship [implying younger good looking guy], but what are you getting out of it?  She is not in your league"  It sounded like he was saying that she's an old hag looking for some young meat.  And has nothing to offer him.  Pretty much asking his stepson "What are you doing with this woman?"  She looked like somebody pee'd in her mouth.

And Jesse's awesome reply.  "Nobody's perfect"  He basically confirmed all that his stepfather was implying about Darcey with that answer.  Instead of defending her and saying some nice things about his love, he said that?  I thought she would start crying.  She did have tears in her eyes on the drive back.  And she asked Jesse what his stepfather meant by that "She is not in your league" comment.  Jesse said, "you'll have to ask him".  What a charmer.  Then the psycho tells him that even if they don't get married (even though she's sure that they will), they will remain in each other's lives.  Yikes.

 

Mosquito boy met Karine's parents. They entered, said "Hi", and hugged her mother and shook hands with her father.  And they stood there in silence smiling at each other like a group of retards.  It was not awkward at all.  LOL   The father made some funny comments, including "we won't understand what the mute wants". 

 

Then mosquito boy breaks out the translator to ask her if her parents wouldn't mind if she stays with him at the hotel.  She says "ask them".  You know this will go over well.  So he starts typing word for word to ask.  His pronounciation is pretty bad and the father doesn't understand.  But the mother chimes in.  They want to go to the hotel.  The father is pissed and says that people only go to hotel for sex.  Mosquito does his creepy laugh and says some nonsense about keeping her pure and honoring her name.  And he tells the cameras that he expects that she will want to be intimate but he doesn't want to until she takes an STD and pregnancy (which he conveniently brought with him, we later find out in the preview for next week) tests.

 

The father basically says he doesn't agree, but won't say no, since she's an adult.  And Karine types in "he said yes".  That's not exactly what he said.  But Mosquito starts thanking them and shaking their hands like he just got the keep to her trasure.  They stare at him wondering why he's thanking them.  Back at the hotel, he tells her (thru translator) that he doesn't want to be intimate until they know each other better.  She's sad and even tells the camera she has been waiting to be intimate with him.  Next week, she finds a home preg test in one of his military boxes.

 

Nothing about the old creeper and the Caribbean princess this week.  Thank you TLC.

 

We did see the blonde going to Spain to meet the guy who has never video chatted or spoken to on the phone.  I'm thinking African catfish.  But definitely not the guy in the pics.  Any other guesses?  Boring so far.

 

And we meet another American (young Black guy) who is going to France to meet his girlfriend who hasn't told her family about her American boyfriend.  This should be interesting.
