Hello everybody,

did anyone here submit DS-5535 and get the visa later? I had an interview for B2-visa in July, in the interview the CO told me that I am accepted and kept my passport. One day later they sent me the DS-5535 by email and asked me to fill it up. Since then CEAC shows AP status for my visa with no update the interview's day!

Regards,

Mimo

I had my interview for my b2 visa back in Jul 28. Questions are if I travelled outside the country and if I travelled to any middle eastern country. I worked in a war torn country. Right after answering all the COs questions, she handed me a green slip which is he 221g form and DS 5535. I asked the CO if I could submit the form right after finishing it and said it is a lengthy form and I could line up again to any CO who is available. I managed to finish it in a few minutes and then went back in the queue and to a different CO. The CO just asked who gave me the form and got my passport. 3 weeks passed they returned my passport without a visa and a 221g form was stapled on my passport's last page. 2 weeks passed since my interview, no status update at all. Sept 13 got a call from Embassy asking me to send my passport back. Sept 18 status changed to ISSUED. I got 10yrs multiple b1/b2 visa. AP will get the nerves out of you. But if you have nothing to hide and you are giving out all factual information, there will be no prob at all. Good luck to all who are still stuck in the process. Just keep the faith.
