Hi everyone,

My flight is through Asiana Airlines. I am concern about the check in baggage allowance. It stated in their site:

  • Weight: Up to 23kg(50Ibs)
  • Dimensions: A + B + C = Up to 158cm
  • 2 pieces allowed

1. Does that mean that I am allowed a total of 46 kgs for total baggage noting that 1 bag doesn't surpass the 23kg max?

2. Im flying from Cebu-Incheon, Incheon-Seattle with Asiana, do I have check in baggage for my flight from Incheon-Seattle since it is the same airline?

Hoping for some inputs, thanks all. Have a great day ahead.

That means you can bring 2 bags x 23 kg each.

When you check in, tell them to check your bag(s) all the way to Seattle. Make sure to observe the bag tag(s) and that it says SEA (for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport).

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

It means neither bag can weight more than 23kg.

Once you check your bags in CEBU for Seattle (SEA as noted earlier) you will not need to check your bags again, until arrival.

Upon reaching Seattle you will clear immigration first (so have your DO NOT OPEN envelope in your carry-on), after that you will retrieve your luggage to clear customs.

Safe Travels

As others have said, you are allowed 2 bags and neither can be over 50lbs. However I believe most airlines will allow extra bags or over weight bags but you will pay an extra fee. You will need to check with the airlines or their website to find out that fee.
