I-751 QUestion about printing

Please bear with me if this sounds like a stupid question. I am printing out the I-751 application and ended up printing it on both sides of the paper. Is there a requirement on print type viz., each page should only be printed on one side or can it be printed on both sides?

 

I dont want to mess it up, so would much appreciate your answers.

Hi Enoch,

Im sure i read somewhere that it should be on 1 page only and not back to back.. Either which way, i would strongly recommend to re-print your application as one-sided. Not only because USCIS will be scanning in your paperwork to their system, but keep in mind they go thru THOUSANDS of applications and they cannot afford to flip over pages just to try and view your stuff - this could result in an RFE as a rejected application (worse case)  OR perhaps the USCIS agent would need to spend "extra time" on your application to sort it out. And your main aim is to ensure that your paperwork is in order, and they dont have to spend any extra time on it. You want to make it as easy as possible on USCIS in terms of processing!! So IMO go ahead and reprint one sided my friend!!

11/14/16... I-130 packet for my parents sent via UPS to Phoenix

11/15/16... I-130 packet received (Priority Date)

11/18/16... Checks cashed, received emails and text messages at 5:22pm, cases routed to Texas Service Center

02/22/17... NOA2 for Mom received (Notice Date 02/15/17)

02/28/17... NOA2 for Dad received (Notice Date 02/17/17)

03/01/17... Status online shows application sent to NVC 

03/17/17... Received emails from NVC for next steps!

03/21/17... Went online to Choose an Agent

03/28/17... Received emails from NVC confirming Agent selection and to proceed with the next step (paying fees!)

04/05/17... Paid the $120 Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee online today (Also eligible to pay the $325 Fee but will wait before doing so...)

April-August... Took a break from the process in order to move back from USVI to mainland USA.

08/07/17... Paid the IV Fees for both my parents ($325 each) today

08/23/17... Called NVC because payment still showing "In Process", was advised to email proof of payment to have them manually correct it

08/24/17... CEAC website shows "Paid" and can now have parents' DS-260 forms filled in.

This is a couple of years old but speaks to what @deidre said about not printing double-sided. I had the same question as you during a previous stage of the immigration process and this was what I found. It seems that they are not (or were not, at that time) equipped to process double-sided applications.

I'm pretty sure we've printed double-sided for everything so far (AOS, a re-entry permit, the current I-751 that hasn't been adjudicated yet) and everything's been fine. That said, it seems like single-sided might make it easier on them, so that's certainly something to consider! :-)

It is my understanding that all the paperwork is two-hole punched at the top of the page and placed in manila folders using ACCO fasteners.  If you have printed on the back of a page, it is nearly impossible to flip through the folder easily.

 

In my opinion, print on ONE side only.
