So today my second RFE arrived in the mail.  The first RFE needed a G325a form, Intent to marry, and establishing relationship.  So we both sent in a G325a form.  He typed up a letter stating that he planed to Marry me and I included the deposit receipt on a wedding venue we booked.  Last, I sent a letter detailing the dates I went to visit, what the purpose of visit was, and listed the dates and circumstances he has visited me.  Included in that was also my airline ticket stubs showing the dates, and pictures of us with some including us with his family and mine.

So the for the second RFE, they want additional evidence to establish a qualifying relationship, a marriage termination (he already sent that in prior to this RFE so that should arrive to them soon), and last another intent to marry.

So my questions are, what kinds of things should I send them to show "establishing relationship," and what more can I send them for the intent to marry?  Pictures of my wedding dress?  A letter from the lady at our wedding venue stating we booked a wedding there?  I am lost!  We meet online years ago but not on a dating website.  So I am unsure how to proceed....

Did you read the guide and checklist for the i-129f petition at all before you sent in your package? Missing things like g-325a, letter of intent etc is a pretty big mistake to make.

If you haven't looked at the guide yet, do it now.

BOTH of you need to send a g-325a each. BOTH of you need to send a letter of intent each. BOTH of you need to send in divorce decrees if both of you have been married before - for EACH divorce, not just the latest one (as an example).

If you know how to google, then google "example letter of intent to marry".

You really need to read guides and prepare for anything and everything. Don't mess up this RFE, it will result in a denial if the response doesn't suffice.

Like Scandi said, google intent to marry examples. Print out several pages proving you have a legit relationship (e.g. pictures of you together, text logs, skype logs, anything that shows you are in a committed long distance relationship, a copy of the engagement ring receipt etc). Both need a G-325a, both need an intent to marry.

Thanks!  They already have the G325a, and we already sent in detailed pictures of us and with our families.  But that is a good idea to put together text logs, etc..  I will also have him send in a copy of the engagement ring receipt.  As for the intent to marry letter I missread and we sent in one.  So I will also send in a letter.

@danie82 sorry to hear about your second RFE. For relationship evidence, you can include the following but not limited to:

  • Photographs with each other, with family and friends
  • Call logs
  • Chat logs
  • E-mails
  • Letters
  • Cards (including those that you exchanged with the US petitioner's family or him with yours)
  • Text messages (including those that you exchanged with the US petitioner's family or him with yours)
  • Engagement ring receipt
  • Gift purchase orders/receipts especially those bought online with clear indication of the sender and recipient
  • Flower deliveries ordered online with clear indication of the sender and recipient

Since you said you met each other years ago, I am sure you have plenty of proofs so just pick a select few from various periods and events of your relationship. That will give the adjudicator a feel of the growth of your relationship and how you maintain it with ongoing communication.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

You say that you sent in airline tickets, did you also send in copies of passport stamps? That's usually the main proof they like to see, as anyone can buy a ticket and not actually fly anywhere, but the stamp shows that you did indeed actually go there on that specific date.

It's good that you already sent in photos of the two of you. Photos are considered secondary evidence as they could've been taken at anytime, they don't show proof that they were indeed taken within the last two years - BUT photos are still good to add just in case. Doesn't have to be many at all, just 2-5 is enough.

We chat/text/call each other with messenger.  It is free for both of us to use.  This has been the bulk of our chats and calls.  Would taking screen shots or little snip-its of our conversations from here be acceptable do you think?  All our wedding planning discussions happen over video chat so I really don't have much proof of this.  I am so mad at myself for screwing it up the first time and so frustrated now.

Yes, screenshots are fine :) Just here and there. Don't stress yourself out. Work with what you have and make the best of it.

I am sorry to hear about all of this! But can someone answer me a question? I thought the G325a form isn't needed anymore? 🤔

They filed back in Feb, I believe at that time you could still use either the old form which required a G-325A or the new form which no longer required it. If they used the old form, but didn't include the G-325A then they would get an RFE for it.
