OK, so our EAD status updated yesterday to 'new card is being produced'! So everybody check your statuses, there could be good news. :)

One question - my GC interview notice said to bring all documents USCIS has sent me, including any EAD/AP cards. Does anyone know if I have to hand it over, and can no longer use it in the meantime? Just wondering, as my interview is next month, if it is worth applying for jobs when I may not have the card for too long.

Wish you all good news soon!

ROC

19th-Aug-19: Filed ROC paperwork
27th-Aug-19: Text notification received

30th-Aug-19: NOA received: Extension letter
4th-Jan-20: Biometrics letter received
16th-Jan-20: Biometrics appointment

Finally got my old landlord to hand over the mail from my wife and I’s old place and low-and-behold, my notice was there. November 22nd at 1:15pm EST is my date with destiny, it would seem.

Any tips on what exactly I should bring? They have the I-693 (medical interview) and the I-864 (Affedavit of Support) already. I didn’t file an I-512 (Advance Parole) as I didn’t know when I would be planning to travel back to Canada for a visit. They also have received copies of my wife and I’s marriage certificate and my police records.

I just want to make sure I’m not forgetting anything.

Thanks in advance, and no updates yet on EAD, but would getting that temp 2 year green card allow for me to get work or do I still need the EAD too?

I would bring the originals of all documents you submitted with your application and any new evidence you have collected so far.

And yes, if you get your green card before your EAD, the EAD case is gonna be closed as you wouldn't need it anymore.

No, but you need to prove your immigrant status. You can bring a copy of your I-94. :)

Hey guys.

This is my current timeline

11th May - Entered US

13th June - Got Married

4th August - Filled for AOS, AP & EAD

14th August - Recieved NOA for all three.

05 September - Biometrics scheduled

10th October - Rfe for AOS

17th October - Rfe recieved

My local field office is Milwaukee.

Still no news on my AP or EAD. I wanted to go home for Christmas as my family haven't seen my little girl since she was 12 weeks old :( But it's starting to look dire now.

I contacted the Senator of my state who managed to chase it up for me but they said they can't expedite my case at the moment as it's currently undergoing background checks. :(

Does this sound promising? They haven't asked for an RFE for the AP or EAD as of yet. I'm on day 88 since filing. I just hope I've got it in time for xmas :(

I would love to have the answer for your question @Camason but I don’t. What I do know however is that some of August filers have already received their EAD/AP which is also awesome, so keep your strength 🙏🏻 and your time will come.

Look at at the Milwaukee office processing times and see that based on other people’s feedback it looks like they are taking 180 days after biometrics to the interview. So we really just need to wait.

Have a great week.
