Hello guys,

My wife had her interview for an immigration visa 2 weeks ago. at the end of her interview she was given a paper requesting the following:

1- 15 years travel history

2- employment history.

3- siblings names

4- social media accounts

5- previous passport numbers

6- previous residing addresses for 15 years

7- phone numbers for the last 5 years

Now the case status is undergoing (Administrative Processing). has anyone been requested the same information?if so, how long did it take to be completed?

Thanks!

This is the new vetting system.  Unfortunately noone knows how long it can take. AP can take awhile but also can be quick. It all depends on case by case. Just sit back and relax. Hopefully her AP will be very quick!

This is the new form DS 5535

You can search for it on VJ. There are a couple of threads on "work visa" and "student visa", in which people have mentioned getting this form. As far as I know, they are all still waiting and have been on AP for a couple of months.

Try looking for people from Syria that are currently waiting at the consulate stage or that have recently received their passports back with the visa. That will give you an estimate of AP. But she will be waiting at least 2 months, if not longer. Better to prepare for a couple of months so that you can avoid thinking about it all the time.
