Good morning everyone!  Just wanted to give you our update on my husband's AOS timeline.  We received an update last night that his interview for his green card is scheduled for December 14!  Our timeline is as follows:

August 4 - Marriage

August 15- sent AOS packet

August 17- Packet received

Late August- NOA1s received

September 12 - Biometrics appointment

October 17- updated to "ready to be scheduled for interview"

November 9- updated to "interview scheduled" for December 14

So I am not sure if his EAD/AP will get approved in the meantime but looks like he will be an official green card holder by mid December. :jest:  I hope everyone else starts hearing some updates on your cases soon!  Maybe they are getting a little pep in their step trying to get stuff done before the holidays!

In most cases like this I've observed they pause the EAD/AP as you'll get a GC straightaway :)

Good luck to u!

I'm a November filer and I noticed the new form I-765 has the option for SSA to send you replacement SS card. Did you opt "Yes" ? I'm curious if you will get a new SS card by the end of the month without having to go to the SS office.

I didnt have this option as I filed in Aug beginning.

Also I had my SS card with the married name before I filed so never needed it.

Whenver in doubt filling forms for something i can do myself - i steered clear and never gave uscis any extra work :) hehe.

SS offices are very efficient. You can get your made in 2 weeks just wid your IDs, i94 copy(online), and marriage certificate :)

So probably by end of next week on Fri he can expect to receive it by then, right?

Also I was checking your timeline and it's similar time frame plus you are also out of chicago? So now we are both waiting for interview dates... please keep me informed when you get yours! do you mind if I ask what area in IL you are from? we might be neighbors :P haha

I see. I'm sure SS offices experience vary by regions, b/c my co-worker had a terribly long wait in the SS office and I read you need EAD to get the new SS card (to proof status) in married name. I'm glad your SS office was efficient
