I got my I-797C NOA on the same day, I filed 4th of Aug. did you receive the biometrics appointment letter already?

I haven't received anything (bio letter) yet, as far as I know. :/ I have seen they have been slower since the past week though, in general. Not sure why. Hopefully everything is okay. Let me know if you have any news on your end! Cheers.

We sent my husbands packet on August 15th.  It was delivered on August 17th and we received the email confirmations early this morning for I-485, I-131, and I-765.  Waiting on the hard copy NOA1s to come in the mail now.  :)

Hi, my wife k1 visa is gonna be expire by 27 Sep and I just send out her AOS/EAD package with $1140 cheque...everything was fine when I see my package was delivered but now I look back and I forgot $85 Biometric Fees...what should I do now 😓

Thanks

Hey,

I sent the wrong amount the first time too. You have to wait for them to send the package back. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks. (Mine came back 16 days after I sent it).

When you get it back there will be notices on why it was rejected, and there is a green letter you need to include when sending it back. Make sure you include that on the top of the package.

Also, they will have organized your package how they wanted it. I honestly, didn't even look at it. I just re-wrote the check with the right amount and sent it back... And they accepted it. In hindsight I should have probably just made a once over to make sure there was nothing missing.

You should be able to submit it again before your wifes k-1 expires. Good luck!

Seems packages those delivered on the same day will have the same timeline. Anyone whose their package delivered on August 21 other than me???

Same here! If they choose to not believe because of crazy reasons, we will just go be happy somewhere else. 💜 The only sad thing would be that hubby's parents would stay here and when grandchildren come it'll be hard to arrange visits since they do not travel. But oh well. Good luck to us!

Yes very good point! Overall, my paranoia's unfounded when I really think about it. USCIS employees are intelligent and have a ton of resources. I also do believe they can tell fairly quickly which couples are real when they do interviews.

Anyway good luck to all!! I expect those who filed during the first week of Aug will see biometric letters soon.

Hi :)

So they received my package on August 10th. And I got the notice on the 17th. I think you still have time! :) It normally takes about a week to 10 days.

You put all fees by one check or seperated ?

Before her K1 visa expired, we just need the case number so she can still stay here right ?

I wrote 1 check for I 130 and I separate check for the I485 + the biometric fee and in the memo on each check wrote what it was for so it was clear

Filed I-485, I-130, I-765, & I-131 priority date August 9, 2017 spousal AOS

Hey,

since your wife came in on K-1 Visa. you only need to write the one check for the AOS FEE + BIOMETRICS FEE.

You can put it in one check.

Also, aslong as you have a case number by that date she is not incurring any illegal presence. However, even if in the odd chance she does, it would be forgiven because she is married to a USC.

Basically, try not to stress out too much :)

Are you the US citizen? The I-130 petition is only for the US citizen. It's basically the US citizen's request to the government to allow your non-USC spouse to stay and to prove your bona fide marriage. Hence, "petition" (but the non-US spouse must fill out I-130A, which is now part of the overall form).

EDITED TO ADD: I just saw the previous posts and realized I missed that you did K1. I don't think you need I-130 in your case. Please check the guides link at the top of the website page. I'm unfamiliar with the K1 process.

The I-485 is only for the non-USC. This form is the non-USC requesting permission to change their status to legal American permanent resident. Neither form is meant to be filled out by both; they each have their own specific purpose. Hope this helps.

If your wife entered the USA with a K-1 Visa. you have already filed a I-130 to petition for her.
