If it was only until May then, that means they are probably going in order still and first have to finish up June and July ones before getting to August people. Hopefully they are all mixed together though...

I think it goes like this....lets say we both are working at MSC and you are given 10 cases of august EAD and am given 10 cases of august of EAD. All these applicants have to for background checks by FBI etc....

At FBI they receive both our 20 cases and FBI divides 10 cases to officer A and another 10 cases to officer B.

While you and me are waiting for FBI background check results for 20 cases...September kicks in..and so September EAD cases are given to us...

again...at FBI Office, 'Officer A' & 'Officer B' are taking time to do background checks because they got backlogs for July EAD background checks (AND) FBI gets info from various agencies and it might be that the delay is from the "other agencies"

So my dear friends its a circle....looks like a hierarchy of delays

Did you say anything specific or you just said you wannted a ticket created for your EAD? They dont really seem to understand what a SR is, at lease the first level!!

I called the day before I raised a SR online (on the uscis website) but really the person (normal customer service) wasn't helpful. So the next day (november 3) I did it myself. :) and received email confirmation through the website, which I never received after talking to the operator the previous day. Hope that helps!

Timeline (From B2 visa to AOS)

July 15, 2016 -> Got married
August 3, 2017 -> Mailed AOS packet (I-130, I-485, I-765)
August 4, 2017 -> Package received
August 14, 2017 -> NOA for I-130 and I-485 (not I-765... called multiple times to ask about this but was told to wait)
August 25, 2017 -> NOA for Biometrics Appt (I-485)
August 30, 2017 -> Sent email asking to look for I-765 (My I-765 was LOST)
September 8, 2017 -> Biometrics Appt for I-485
September 26, 2017 -> Received email from USCIS I-765 found and PD August 4
October, 2017 -> NOA for I-765 and Tier 2 officer cancelled 2nd biometrics

November 3, 2017 -> Raised SR online for I-765

December 11, 2017 -> SR showed as "completed" by the assigned officer

January 8, 2018 -> Name was updated

January 18, 2018 -> interview scheduled

Or...... It could be the worst clerical mistake made by an employee at USCIS, haha hoping it's not a mistake and is the real deal!

You should call again and ask to raise a SR. Also, try to talk to a tier 2 officer. I did it today and it was so much more clarifying. She said the last update on my case was october 15th where they finalized the background check and my I-765 is now ready to be assigned to an officer but hasnt yet but she said they'll give me an update by friday. You should definitely try to talk to a tier 2, again, it's so much more clarifying than the usual guys we talk at USCIS =)

Yeah its much clearer when you speak to a Teir 2 officer, and bear in mind that all Teir 2 officers are different and seems to give different infor. once in a while you will find a good one that gives enough infor. and hint on your case.  The one I spoke to this morning was able to tell me that they are working on my case and i should hear something from them by Friday.  Keeping fingers crossed.

Hahah I think we should all vent using gifs while we wait!

And yes, it seems the official processing times mean nothing. Still, it's so upsetting seeing people who filed a month later than you getting their EAD/AP before you.
