Interesting they have no idea of what SR is....They gave me a referral number and like I said, I can not track that on USCIS site. Not sure what do I do now if not even a ticket I got open.

You should call again and ask to raise a SR. Also, try to talk to a tier 2 officer. I did it today and it was so much more clarifying. She said the last update on my case was october 15th where they finalized the background check and my I-765 is now ready to be assigned to an officer but hasnt yet but she said they'll give me an update by friday. You should definitely try to talk to a tier 2, again, it's so much more clarifying than the usual guys we talk at USCIS =)

Yeah that is likely not a proper SR. I got a similar TXXXX...XXMSC number the first time I requested to fix my first name. And I raised a SR last week which has a SRXXX..XXMSC code number. If I were you I'd call again.

Timeline (From B2 visa to AOS)

July 15, 2016 -> Got married
August 3, 2017 -> Mailed AOS packet (I-130, I-485, I-765)
August 4, 2017 -> Package received
August 14, 2017 -> NOA for I-130 and I-485 (not I-765... called multiple times to ask about this but was told to wait)
August 25, 2017 -> NOA for Biometrics Appt (I-485)
August 30, 2017 -> Sent email asking to look for I-765 (My I-765 was LOST)
September 8, 2017 -> Biometrics Appt for I-485
September 26, 2017 -> Received email from USCIS I-765 found and PD August 4
October, 2017 -> NOA for I-765 and Tier 2 officer cancelled 2nd biometrics

November 3, 2017 -> Raised SR online for I-765

December 11, 2017 -> SR showed as "completed" by the assigned officer

January 8, 2018 -> Name was updated

Right?! I mean it's great hearing of people getting their status updated, but it's great to see it officially on the website too. If only the local offices that process the I-485 applications were also showing 2017 and were at all accurate and reliable! *insert eye roll*

That's right...this morning I checked for the same and it was still "As of August 31 2017 we are processing May 10 2017 cases" but now..WOW !

My local office changed their "as of August 31" to "as of September 31" too -- BUT THE DATE OF CASES THEY'RE PROCESSING DIDN'T CHANGE AT ALL. So no change in 1 month. Not sure what to make of this :S

If it was only until May then, that means they are probably going in order still and first have to finish up June and July ones before getting to August people. Hopefully they are all mixed together though...

I'm not at all relying on local office processing times... I feel like they are totally inaccurate.

You are right.....i follow 2 different July 2017 AOS groups and people are still waiting for their EADs. I used to follow the timelines of USCIS processing times but now it looks like its just confusing
