Here's what I mean:

https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume1-PartA-Chapter3.html

Tier 1 Contact Center Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) offer the first level of live assistance. CSRs may be contract employees. CSRs provide basic case-specific and general non-case-specific information to customers. Information provided by Tier 1 will be limited in verbiage and format by informational response scripts that are created and provided by USCIS.

When unable to completely resolve an inquiry, the Tier 1 CSR may transfer the call to the Tier 2 live assistance level to be answered by a USCIS officer.

Customers may, at any time, request to have a call directed to a supervisor.

Thanks for sharing this Hamilton. It says customers may contact for Tier 2 officer at any point of time. Am gonna call them back again.

Hi Aviinashh,

Do you know if having a job offer speeds up the process if you can't claim 'financial hardship' as the reason for needing an expedited EAD

Thanks!

Yes I really think so Rose because I've seen 2 people getting their EADs approved right after faxing their offer letter. One being a July filer.

Sorry to hear that :( Your dates are almost exactly the same as mine though - so you're still within the 90 days. I've heard they won't do much until you're out of that 90 day window...

Hello! Long time thread follower- first time poster!

I am a bit confused with a few things. If any of you can shed some light on it, it would be much appreciated.

I sent in my application (i130, i485) on August 2, 2017

Case was Rejected Because I sent an Incorrect fee on August 7, 2017

Resent packet on August 9, 2017

Received i797c for my i485 on August 26, 2017 - but did not receive one for i130... is this normal?

Fingerprints scheduled for September 14, 2017-  DONE- Case status has been stuck at "fingerprint fee received" since then!

FIRST CONCERN: The case number for my original, rejected i797 (i485) changed, so I'm guessing I should have received a new one for i130!

SECOND CONCERN: I see that a bunch of August Filers have been getting their interview dates, but I have search ALL processing times on the USCIS, and none of the Field Offices are processing anywhere near August 2017... so how are people getting their cases processed? Am I checking the wrong place? My Local Office, Newark, NJ is only processing cases from September, 2016....

THIRD CONCERN: Which Center do I fall under, if my receipt number starts with MSC?

Does anyone have any insight? For case processing times, should I check Field Office, Service Center or NBC?

They told me this at first too, but then I asked if they could transfer me to an officer by phone and they said "oh yes ofcourse, I'll connect you right away"... They won't offer it at first, you really have to ask them directly!

1. Call them, ask to be connected to an Immigration Officer about your i485 and i130

2. It's only statistics. One immigration officer told me it's all based on "luck" and it depends on each office

3. MSC = Missouri, National Benefits Center

Case processing seems to be different for every situation. Interview dates are mostly only for people with K1 visas from what I've seen.. You'll have to keep waiting and be patient. If you want to work and travel, apply for the EAD and AP if you haven't already :)!

Thanks for the answers! I feel a little better already! So instead of my case being sent to a Service Center, it was sent to the National Benefits Center? What is the difference?

Also, I have DACA, and that expires August 2018. I think I should be good, right? If not, can I still apply for an EAD and AP for free at this point? I did not apply for it while I sent my packet. Thanks for your help!
