again am kind of confused because ive seen people who applied AOS after me (August8) who received interview date or status changing to "Case ready to schedule for interview"

Hard to say what's happening behind the scenes, but maybe it's as simple as this: all the Aug paper files are in one big room, and officers step out and grab a bunch of files from anywhere in the room

Haha, everything about USCIS is confusing I thought our packake was filed by the date it was received but apparently not.  I saw someone mentioned whether or not its worthy to do a SR at this point.  My view is that if we do a SR now for the EAD we really not going to know whether we got our EAD based on the SR, or Expedite raised because we are really due to get our EAD/AP anytime now.

Haha, this kinda make more sense - but was told that packages are filed and processed according to receipt date - and also assigned to specific officer- so maybe officer working on a whole bunch of Aug filers in one big box lol

lol and to add more.....in any office and in any country there are two types of people working.

1. lazy people .... who are supposed to do 100% work but do just 70% work and say "am gonna do it tomorrow" and chit-chat, do personal work, take long lunch breaks etc

2. work focused people..you ask them to do 100% work they WILL do 100% or even more than that

 

I guess my file is with people in option number 1

This guy put me on long holds 2-3 times and i guess he went to smone else or into some system to check the card or status properly... He then said its a combo card.

So I share the same thoughts and feelings as some of you. I`m a august filer and I`m super happy for all of august filer that have gotten their EAD and AP. The other part of me, is also crazy wishing to be part of this group. So is my understanding that AOS is processed at our local office in other others the one closest to where we live and EAD and AP processed at the MSC also known as National Benefits Center. The only reason why I say this is because I see some people relating the EAD/AP to their local office and I dont believe this is the process.

 

Can someone confirm, EAD and AP are all processed at the same location Lee`s Summit, MO (NBC). With that I`m not sure how a SR could help much at this point, they have EADs and APs from all over the place to approve and as much as I want to open an SR, I`m not sure how much that would help.

Hey everyone have question how long will take to receive ead card ones status has updated? And do they the photos from Biometric? Or the passpoint size photo we submitted with document?.

Same status with the i-485, and I got my combo card several days ago.

I think you will get yours next week. My status skipped 'card being produced' step, so I cannot be 100% sure, but they will send your card early next week and you will get it in 2-3 days.
