Oh weird, my local office is still showing processing times as of Aug 31! Wonder why it hasn't updated too. ARGH. So do you think you won't be able to submit an SR for AOS at all, since according to their processing time it's fine for people after Oct 2016 to have not heard anything?

Yea i just saw NY processing times. Its not that we cant, we can submit a SR for AOS but looking at the dates on USCIS website i was thinking its better to raise a SR for EAD than AOS.

Ok so I looked through the 1000 cases before my case (PD Aug 8).

286 AOS

  • Fingerprint fee received: 82 = 29%

  • Ready to be scheduled: 106 = 37%

  • Varying stages of RFE/RFIE etc: 97 = 34%

  • Approved: 1

166 EAD.

Approvals: 2

145 AP.

Approved: 39 = 27%

So it's still okay for people who filed in early August to not have heard anything -- in fact, it seems we're still in the majority.

Ha nice! Yes, seeing lots of people on VisaJourney receive cards and interviews is just anecdotal evidence and shouldn't make us panic -- it seems the statistical evidence suggests that our VJ people in this thread are the exception not the norm :)

So I share the same thoughts and feelings as some of you. I`m a august filer and I`m super happy for all of august filer that have gotten their EAD and AP. The other part of me, is also crazy wishing to be part of this group. So is my understanding that AOS is processed at our local office in other others the one closest to where we live and EAD and AP processed at the MSC also known as National Benefits Center. The only reason why I say this is because I see some people relating the EAD/AP to their local office and I dont believe this is the process.

Can someone confirm, EAD and AP are all processed at the same location Lee`s Summit, MO (NBC). With that I`m not sure how a SR could help much at this point, they have EADs and APs from all over the place to approve and as much as I want to open an SR, I`m not sure how much that would help.

haha yep....

my guess is most of them were receiving their cards between the 75-90 day period and the maximum number of EAD will be approved after the 90th day...very few have received their cards after 120th day...so fingers crossed

Yup, EADs and APs are processed at the NBC. So technically we should all be on equal footing in terms of how long it takes to hear back about the EAD/AP,  regardless of the workload/backlog at our local offices.

I think the main thing is that there are literally thousands of EAD/AP applications filed every month. The last 2000/3000 cases behind my case number are still filers in early August! The people on VJ are just a small number of these thousands, many of whm haven't heard back yet.

Yup, thanks for confirming. Honestly I think its hard to believe that a SR will make any different unless I have a real valid reason, other than that, I`m just with everybody else waiting on their permission to work and travel.

According to what I've seen California SC, Nebraska SC, Texas SC, Vermont SC, Potomac SC & Missouri SC do the I-765 but Potomac SC does I-765 for category "C3" and the rest do category "C9"

Yup...again...SRs may actually cause some sort of delay on the entire process. Not sure, just guessing.

I agree because not all K1's or AOSs applicants are on VJ so the number of people here are very low

Are you suggesting that some of us might be held up in name checks?

I have a pretty unique name so I don't think that should be an issue for me... Also -- 3 million checks every year! Wow.

Could be...or could not because they will process it according to the day they receive the requests

again am kind of confused because ive seen people who applied AOS after me (August8) who received interview date or status changing to "Case ready to schedule for interview"
