So since I can obsess over things easily, I thought I'd do some stats for the group with this new app!

I checked the 500 cases after my i-485 receipt number. Since we're all August filers, I'm guessing all our numbers are pretty close. Here's what I found:

  • Of the 500 cases, 116 cases are specifically for the i-485
  • Of these 116 i-485s filed in August, 44 (or 38%) are currently "ready to be scheduled for interview"
  • 15 cases are in RFE/RFIE stage
  • The remaining 49% of i-485 cases are all at "fingerprint fee received"

This makes me feel a bit better, at any rate...

Hamilton, you win GOLD in this game of AOS waiting. THANK YOU.

27-Oct-2017 Done with the interview. I brought a lot evidences (originals of the photocopy that I submitted, our photo album, copy of lease agreement, copy from employer of the insurance stating that my USC husband added me) and was prepared to answer a lot of questions. He asked us if we have any evidence to present and I gave him the copies of the lease agreement, insurance policy and our insurance card then we were only asked how we met and when then the rest were questions on the form and the anti trafficking stuff. After that he said that everything looks good and that we’re good to go if we don’t have any questions and was advised to wait for an update for a few weeks. The IO was also surprised on how fast our case was processed and he said that we overtook a lot of people. Lol

28-Oct-2017 My status on USCIS website changed to card production.

All in all everything went smoothly and very fast. I’ll just have to wait for the greencard and we won’t have to do anything for now until we have to file for removal of conditions. 😊

Congratulations! I'm really happy for you and this also helps give us hope. My husband and I have our interview at the end of November. We are also taking insurance policy paperwork, I'm going to look at getting him added to my apartment lease, and then just take pictures of our wedding ceremony and some trips we have taken so far. Do you think this will be enough? Just out of curiosity , did you change your last name? I did not and I am hoping this is not a bad thing..

What other kinds of questions did they ask you from the form?

Have you received the greencard yet?

Whaaaaat!?

My I-765 is approved! I did not expect this to happen so quickly at all. I haven't even looked at the status quite often.

I-131 is still 'Case was received' though. But since the combo card will be with both, I'll not worry.

When I saw the word approved, I thought I was looking at i-485 status lol so I was like, what? So, no interview? And then it was EA. USCIS! Omg! Again, I really didn't expect them to do this so quick! What's going on? I thought it is not my turn yet lol

oh and I did not expedite or do SR or anything.

Here is my timeline

Aug 24- Sent the AOS Package

Aug 30- received emails- text confirmation from the USCIS

Sep 20 - received request for initial evidence (I-485) to fill out form I-130A

Sep 27- I mailed my response

until this day i haven’t heard anything no emails text.. the status online still ( mailed request for initial evidence)

I have the mail confirmation From the UPS that my package was delivered and signed..

should I re-send another response or wait?

i called the NCSC and they told me to wait 60 days!! I don’t want to wait and then find out they lost the form or didn’t receive it...

Is it normal for them to take that the long to update the status?

I’m really worried..

I'm an aug filer with receieved date 2 Aug. We reached 90 days checkpoint today.. and now stress levels are getting higher... same status 'Case received and 'fingerprint fee received' for the last 2 months!

Hoping to receive some news soon! :)

@Chloe 2015 They usually send a response saying RFIE received. But your delivery is signed so dont worry. Just make sure the address was correct. Maybe calling uscis again will help. Online status updates are unreliable. Wait for mail. Good luck :)

Thank you for your reply..

I did check the address and it’s the correct one.. Yes, people usually get update about their RFIE response, but in my case I didn’t receive anything, which makes me think about re-sending it, but at the same time, I don’t want to creat confusion!

Hopefully you hear from them soon!

Got two mails today!

They were NOAs for 765 and 131.

Since the status was not like 'we sent the notice' or something, I did not think it would arrive today, but my husband checked the mailbox and they were there!

Considering the pace, I guess the combo card will arrive this week.

'Notice Date' on my NOAs is 25th, the online status says it was approved on 26th, and the online status actually changed on 27th.

So I think changing the online status is the last step they do on decisions.

Hope they are working on your cases although you cannot see it yet.

Good to see that people are getting progress on their EAD/AP!!

Has anyone seen better chances of getting action taken after 60-ish days, or wait specifically 75 days?
