has anyones USCIS online update not changed since their first notification?? I know thats probably a good thing but I keep checking everyday and for it to say the same thing is so annoying!! lol just want an update please :) :sleepy:

Nothing, no updates on the site - the last thing I received is notice to bring I-693 with me at the interview.

Hi, everyone. I just want to share my experience. I submitted my expedite request for i-131 on 9/25/2017. Then they sent me an email about requiring support documents on 9/28/2017. Then I faxed the documents to them on the same day. Today I got a mail from USCIS about they accepted my expedite request. In the notice, it said I'll receive my AP so soon.

Btw, they never update the status on the website. My status of i-131 is still showing "received your case". So everyone don't need to worry if your status never be updated.

Hope all of you have good news soon 😊

I've read elsewhere on Visa Journey that the correct amount of time to wait before submitting a SR is 90 days, not 75. I'm not sure which is correct.

I don't know if submitting a service request is helpful in my case because I don't really need the EAD/AP as much as the AOS.

Thanks, that's helpful to know. I wonder if submitting an SR for EAD/AP could jog the AOS as well. I already have work authorization so the EAD isn't a pressing concern for me.

That's great! Would you mind sharing what your reason for expediting the I-131 was, and what kind of supporting documents were necessary? I need to travel for work in a few months and am a little worried about it.

I think I’ve read that once you put in a service request you have to wait 30 days to make another SR and when people call up they say wait til 30 days is over, so I’m tempted to wait til 90 days then contact my congresswoman.

I need to do a body check in my home country. They have required me to fax them a letter from doctor.

I can confirm this.. I submitted a SR for expediting my I-131 for AP, since my wife and I are planning to have our traditional wedding celebration back home around Christmas time with my ailing grandmothers. With our NOA1 on 09/08/17, the current 100 day processing time would be too late for us.. Still, they denied the request since there is not enough evidence showing a real emergency, and they don't care we already bought plane tickets in February 2017 (6 months before our wedding). We can open up another SR after 30 days again (so November 11th probably).

Does anyone have experience with doing an InfoPass appointment and asking for expediting? Can that be done independently of calling USCIS for a SR? My wife has also written to her congressman to see what we can do there..
