I received the tracking notification from USPS via text and email. I think this process is automated from USCIS though because the alerts came to the email I provided on USCIS forms not the other email I use for Informed Delivery.  

 

My status didn't change, still shows card in production.

You must be so anxious,  yours will arrive soon (USPS Priority takes 3 days to arrive to NY) just make sure your name is on the mailbox.

This just a word of encouragement to lift our spirit. I know we are all expectant, but let me break this to you. The month of October is just starting, if you have not heard from USCIS concerning your EAD or interview appointment, be on the look out this month. Your letter (not RFE) is coming and it's coming very fast. I am very optimistic about this. Relax, rejoice, and be ready. 

 

For those that are just sending in their applications, I implore you to endeavor to post whatever question that is not clear to you on this platform, so that we can help you and also share experiences on how to avoid RFEs . We are a team here.

I wish all of us divine favor as we wait.

Hello adipo21, you can include a cover letter if you want to, but it's not necessary.  Just make sure you included the original letter they sent you, place that on top and the RFE underneath.
