Nothing yet. It has only been 3 days for me though. I have already missed my starting date.

I did call and they told me that a card can take up to 60 days to be produced. There's nothing I can do but wait... That's always the answer

Hi everyone,

As there are a lot of pages and I don't have time to read everything... I was just wondering if anyone had received their EAD yet? Without the expedited shipping.

Also on what grounds can we have it expedited? I'm guessing if we have a job offer or something?

And... finally... how do you know if your file is at NBC or at a local office? On my notice it's written that it's at the NBC but that was in August so I'm just wondering if they would tell us themselves or if we have to look it up?

Thanks!

I don't think anyone (who filed in Aug) received their EAD without expediting. Still too soon. I expedited and still didn't receive it yet.

Financial hardship is only one criteria to expedite EAD (a job offer is an example of supporting document). Other criteria can be found here https://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

Finally, I am not sure about that. I am guessing that if you haven't received an RFE by now, chances are your case is in the local office (unless they are planning to approve your application without interview, in which case it stays in NBC)

Hi everyone! I saw your distress and figured I should offer my two cents. I'm a late May/early June filer and I just received my EAD card two weeks ago.

The processing time for EADs seem to be at around 100 or more days. I got my card production update on the 112th day. A majority of people with the same timeline as me got their EADs around the same time with those who expedited receiving a notification just a few days earlier. This does not mean you should be discouraged to expedite. You should if there's an absolute necessity to.

Raise an SR on Day 90. Raising an SR would likely make them pick up your case. For some it makes a difference, for others not so much. I raised an SR on Day 111 and I've received my EAD yet my SR case has not even been assigned yet.

You may expedite based on a job offer (though not everyone is succesful in this regard) and due to severe financial loss. You can always call to ask.

When your EAD case gets approved, you are mailed an approval letter regarding your EAD case. Your card follows after. If your status has changed to "Card Mailed", you may call USCIS to ask for a tracking number. Using the USPS informed delivery also helps to know if you got any mail incoming from USCIS.

Hope this helps. These are all just based on personal experience and should not be taken as legal advice.

Hi niknik thanks for sharing this infor. we sure learnt a lot on here:) cheers to this interesting journey - I hope this first phase will soon be over for all of us.

Thanks for the info! My wife and I definitely have financial hardship but I don't think we will be accepted for expedite. I'll look into it though.

So... Is local office the same as "Field office"? I'm looking on google but I can't really find anything about local offices
There's a USCIS office in Oakland where I did my fingerprints, but I think they only do that - fingerprints. And there's a field office in San Francisco; would that be it? The thing is when I look at the processing times there's nothing about travel & work permit. There is something about AOS though. I feel like I was super informed during the whole K1 process but somehow now I have absolutely no idea where my file is, what's going on... It's a bit weird and stressful. So EAD is at NBC and AOS is at field office?

Where should I post my timeline?

Sorry about all these questions, I am looking for some answers on google but I just end up confused

Hi Alexa, there is no need to worry. What are the first three letters in your receipt number.  It should be one of these:

SRC - Texas Service Center (TSC)
LIN - Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
WAC - California Service Center (CSC)
EAC - Vermont Service Center (VSC)
MSC - Missouri Service Center (MSC)
NBC - National Benefits Center (NBC)

Wow I feel a bit stupid I never realized that MSC meant something in particular. It is MSC, does that mean they will be processing the case at the NBC? (sorry about the double post I can't figure out how to delete it)

Oh ok, I'm kind of confused because I read a lot about 'local offices'. Anyway, thank you all for the information. Also I figured out how to do my timeline, I'll finish that when I have more time :).

So I understand....what might help you to understand is...

AOS is processed at your "local office" you can find the list here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php Your local office is usually the one where you did your biometrics.

and AP and EAD are processed at NBC.

Does that help?

The current trend shows that, after the "Card Being Produced" status change, it takes about a week until it is delivered. Can you call and inquire?

Have you checked your mail? It appears the cases aren't updated timely but it may have been mailed. Or call and ask tier 2 for tracking info. You can also sign up for USPS delivery to check if anything has been scheduled for delivery at your location.
