Hi all, filed mid august, done biometrics on sept 15...  Advanced Parole status has changed to "document was sent" which is good I guess... Rest is still on fingerprint fee received / case received...

Does the status change if rfe is sent? What is the time period where rfes are sent?

Wow! Did you add any additional reasons for expediting your AP?

The lady at my biometrics appointment told me that I should expect my EAD/AP in 3-4 weeks, so I guess that's about the same timeline?  @T_P I agree that it's super fast!  I was surprised the biometrics lady even knew anything about the EAD/AP.  My appointment was already two weeks ago but I haven't received any notifications.  I'm prepared to wait the full 90-120 days or whatever for the EAD/AP anyways.

Yup!  It's probably a very busy office since LA is so big and so many immigrants come to live here.

Hi everyone,

Today I checked my online status and received this message

"On September 20, 2017, the Post Office returned a notice we sent you for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX, because they could not deliver it. This could have a serious effect on your case. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice immediately. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

I'm so confused. I filed I-130, I-485 and I-131. I already received 2 NOAs for my husband's petition and my petition, but strangely no NOA for I-131. However, I completed my biometrics on Sep 15, 2017. Any idea how I could have messed up my address? I followed the e-request link but it did not seem to work. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Aug 22 AOS package (I-485, I-130, I-131) sent to Chicago lockbox

Aug 23 Delivered

Aug 30 Email/text receipts of 3

Sep 2 NOA for I-130 only

Is there anyone whose status changed?

Mine has been "Fingerprint fee was received" the whole time... I am just hoping that next week I could get "ready for interview scheduling", but kinda hopeless at the same time haha

But who knows? ;)

Dont worry too much about the status on USCIS website, it lags behind most times. Just be on the look out for your interview appointment. There were applicants who received their EAD and yet the status was still showing "fingerprint received". Also, be very hopeful, all is going to be alright in the end.

On my biometrics appointment notice, it says it is for case type I485 - I765, and on the bottom it shows bar codes for the notices of these two forms. It does not say anything about my I131 though (the one I care most about right now). Has anyone ever received an appointment letter that includes I131, or is that included in either I485 or I765?

No status change online, but also no RFEs in the mail. I'm cautiously optimistic.

August 2017 - June 2018 AoS

April 2020 - January 2021 RoC

Jan 2022 - September 2022 Citizenship

Thats better and thats exactly what most people want. If status hasn't changed, then no RFE. Yes, be optimistic, the next letter you'd receive will be your interview appointment. :D
