Miami area and the Caribbean filers God protect you all, be safe plz!

2-3 days, mostly for the TB test. But it slso drpends what vaccinations you have already gotten and not. I had most of them done in the padt and brought my record so the doctor only had to give me the TB test and take my blood and urine samples.

I looked at June and July 2017 aos filers threads and some people are getting the interview and green card reaaaally fast like less than 2 months after the biometrics. Isn't that even before they get the EAD?

I thought the normal sequence would be the opposite because if you already have a green card, you don't need the others..

Yes, I think it just totally depends on your local office. Someone I know got their green card and EAD almost at the same time (2 months after biometrics).

I went to USCIS to do the biometrics yesterday. It was done in less than 10 minutes including the waiting time.

I brought my passport, the appointment letter, and the marriage certificate to show why my name is different from the one in my passport.

We forgot to get the legal copy so just brought the keepsake one, and had no problems with it. I recommend to bring any type of marriage certificate although the appointment letter doesn't say so because the staff asked me to show her the proof of my name change.

Oh, and the letter says electronic devices are not allowed but if you do not use it, it is just fine to bring it in.

I didn't bring my marriage certificate and everything was fine.  When the officer at the reception desk was looking at my passport, I was like, "Oh damn I should have brought the certificate."  But he didn't ask any questions.  You fill out a form when you get there.  It asks for your name and then other names you have used in the past (including maiden names).  So because of that, I don't think it matters if you bring the certificate or not.

You're welcome. It was very easy and simple. Didn't take more than 10 minutes. They take a photo which is gonna be your green card picture (so try to look good, I messed mine up... 😒), signature and fingerprints. That's all. Oh and you have to fill out a form with your weight, height, hair and eye color.

Yeah no problem!  I say to take it just in case since it's on your mind already.  The biometrics is very fast and easy.  I got there 20 minutes before hand and there wasn't as much security as I thought (no bag check and no metal detectors).  I took my phone inside but I never took it out or used it because the sign on the front doors prohibit that.  There were only two other people who came in at the same time as me.  My appointment was set for noon but I was out of there by 12:05 since there were so little people.  It feels great to have that step done too.
