So USCIS has officially received my response to the RFIE! We're back in business, folks! I hope I have @Aviinashh's luck and hear about the EAD/AP soon!

My journey is at the 190 days mark today:jest:

What was your RFE about?

Proof that the intending immigrant can work in the US (which was clear from the stuff we'd already submitted, so I dunno). Also some stuff we had already sent (letters of employment).

There will be more activity when interview time comes around!

VJ now feels like so much a part of my life I feel like I'll probably stick around and help others. But of course, I need to actually get helped by USCIS first...

So I have a question... all of our ROC are going to be at different times, right? Is the ROC two years from the date of filing (so Aug 2019 for all of us)? I don't think so...isn't it after 2 years from the date of issue of the green card? So those of us who get the GC early will ROC way earlier than those of us who are unlucky and have to wait ages.... right?

2 years will start from the date your GC is approved...so lets say our GC is approved on March 31th 2018 and it will be valid till March 30th 2020, we will be eligible for ROC on Jan 1st 2020(90 days before GC ends)

Taking above dates into consideration when we both are eligible for  ROC if you and I file in January 2020 then we both will meet in January 2020 ROC group.

Yes, but we're unlikely to have our GCs approved in the same month because there's so much variability in local offices. So a bunch of people here are already interviewing, and who knows when that will happen for the rest of us...
