like I had mentioned to you guys before.. my dads interview was this past Monday 1/29/18....today our I 485 changed to "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed"... this is the first status update online since Sept of 2016 which is when they received our original application. Hoping for the best

About the EAD and AP I got an  email that a will receive a decision shortly or notice of other action, so IDK if I will receive it or just go directly to interview I'm happy to have a positive update 😊.

took 178 days for the entire process from receipt to approval

Day 175, I-485 status has just changed from “fingerprints received” to “ready to be scheduled for an interview”, MAGIC! 

 

According to the statistics, people in my state are rarely invited to the interview. Do you think my status 100% means I will go to the interview or there is a chance I could receive a GC without it?

Nice of you! So glad you are finally getting your EAD/AP. On my end, I don't really mind anymore for the interview at this point...I can pretty much do everything I want with those, so it's ok. Just waiting, but I don't need to drive myself nut anymore :P

1) what office processing times should I follow for my interview date? Is it NBC or local office?

 

2) I understand the conditional green card is valid for 2 years. Now is that from the date the green card was approved or from filing date or marriage date?

California doesn't do interviews?  Where can I ask you found these stats?

 

That would be great if true.  I'm pretty sure one of the August guys here has an interview in February in Los Angeles..

1- Local Office. NBC only does the first analyses and send your AOS to the closest office (local)

2- Dont know for sure, but probably from the GC approval date in the system.

8/16/17 --- AOS Packet received Chicago USCIS Day 0

8/21/17  --- Received email & text notification 

8/23/17  --- Received hard copy of NOA  

9/01/17  --- Biometrics letter notice for I-485 & I-765 & I-131  

9/11/17  --- Biometrics Appointment Done

10/17/17 - Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview

11/30/2017 - EAD/AP Approved
12/01/2017 - Card in Production
12/05/2017 - Received Approval Notice in the Mail
