Ugh hopefully I heard something soon. the congressman worker told me that my case was the final stage for them to make a decision but I haven't heard anything since.

Oh man, I emailed my senator two weeks ago and the liaison from her office said it takes about two weeks to assign my inquiry to a case worker and get a response. I hope we hear something soon. The USCIS processing page said that they were processing September I-765's back in November (not 100% sure but basically it did say they were processing post-Aug I-765's). But then it went BACK to July and then it was at Aug again and now it's back to Sept! 😫

I had a dream last night that i received my combo card. I woke up and found my phone to check the case’s status. and then I felt extremely upset :(.

I dont want to do anything at all today! I fought with my husband about cancelling our wedding in March because I dont want to waste another year for waiting a new visa to come back US.

Yup, I don't think they care. I finally got a letter in the mail today about my AP expedite request saying "while your situation is serious, it's not an emergency".

Dude you are at the point where you should be contacting the Ombudsman!

I forgot, I bet you have contacted your congress person...If they haven't been so helpful, you could always try to contact your senator as well.

We're in a research study. Someone is randomly selecting a month to display on the processing page, and then measuring the impact on sentiment expressed on this site.

Well I too got “shortly” back in December ~13 and until today I got zero updates on EAD whatsoever. Only update on I485. I think it’s just random. Hopefully people will be luckier than me in that regard after receiving that notice.

I am worried about my name though. They mispelled it only on the I485 (I tried correcting it multiple times, they continued to send confirmation of correction with wrong name, it’s just nuts) and it’s been 180 days for us already. It will probably take a loooong Time (from what I read on similar cases) until I get a GC even after interview because of this, so having a EAD would have really helped but no EAD after 180 days, probably won’t receive one at this point anyways. Who knows.

Timeline (From B2 visa to AOS)

July 15, 2016 -> Got married
August 3, 2017 -> Mailed AOS packet (I-130, I-485, I-765)
August 4, 2017 -> Package received
August 14, 2017 -> NOA for I-130 and I-485 (not I-765... called multiple times to ask about this but was told to wait)
August 25, 2017 -> NOA for Biometrics Appt (I-485)
August 30, 2017 -> Sent email asking to look for I-765 (My I-765 was LOST)
September 8, 2017 -> Biometrics Appt for I-485
September 26, 2017 -> Received email from USCIS I-765 found and PD August 4
October, 2017 -> NOA for I-765 and Tier 2 officer cancelled 2nd biometrics

November 3, 2017 -> Raised SR online for I-765

December 11, 2017 -> SR showed as "completed" by the assigned officer

January 8, 2018 -> Name was updated

January 18, 2018 -> interview scheduled

I am very VERY sorry for this... and really don’t know what to say that can make it better for you (probably nothing). Can’t believe it took them this long (6 months mark) to send a RFIE. I wonder about similar cases. Once I read about a case receiving a RFIE late (trying to find where...) but after they sent what uscis wanted they didn’t experience the reset time stuff radically since it was an old case I suppose. I’ll try to check on this, but they were very late in your case anyways and it’s on them. Some people say RFIE doesn’t totally reset the EAD/AP but they haven’t checked yours in half a year so maybe you can get news on AP after this... we can just hope for the best :( (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/623301-does-rfie-really-reset-the-90-day-clock/)

ugh... I’m sorry...

That was the reason for the hold up in the first place . Because most EAD/APs get processed in 60-90 days currently for the majority especially filleds after october in 60-80 days .

I am september filler and it took mine77 days .

So when I always read you and other peoples post I kind of knew there was something going on behind the scenes ( like Avinash , where is he btw)

So make sure you respond quickly . This was likely the holdup so its good news but I can understand also frustrating . Share the RFIE with us please

It's way passed their processing time for the I-765, if you check their website.

Hi friend i received this update yesterday afternoon from my local congresswoman office.

Thank you for your follow up inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter.  This case is awaiting interview scheduling by the Phoenix Field Office.  Once the field office schedules this case for an interview, the applicant will receive a notice stating the date and time to appear for their interview and the NBC will forward the file to the field office.

I dont really see how that makes sense, are you saying that people who's EADs are late are case problems ?  From what you say all the files are looked at within 90 days but it takes them over 3 months to actually send the RFIE ?  An RFIE is supposed to be noticed while the file is initially reviewed so just as they open it ?  Why would it take them so long to send it ?

I think a better explanation would be that wherever @Hamilton's case is they barely just opened it cause theyre so far behind...

And I think some people lately/after 90 days have gotten their eads/news without problems....

What you say worries me,I still dont have news from my case

Thats really good !  So they wait to send you your EAD until you are scheduled ?  Are you going to get an EAD or directly interview ?
