Yeah that's kind of the strange thing... If I recall correctly, the processing times page actually used to say As of September 31st it was processing September then went back to July, then I think recently is when it bumped to October 31. So the As of date is moving forward, but the processing date is going backwards?

Dont relly on USCIS processing times page, like I normally say, it is hard to hope/believe in that and our best best it is really gather a combination of processing times from VJ, Users feedback, and USCIS page....and still nothing is 100% accurate.

There is a lot going on under the immigration area that may end up affecting the entire process.

8/14/17 --- AOS sent I-485, I-765, I-131

8/16/17 --- AOS Packet received Chicago USCIS Day 0

8/21/17  --- Received email & text notification

8/23/17  --- Received hard copy of NOA

9/01/17  --- Biometrics letter notice for I-485 & I-765 & I-131

9/11/17  --- Biometrics Appointment Done

10/17/17 - Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview

11/30/2017 - EAD/AP Approved
12/01/2017 - Card in Production
12/05/2017 - Received Approval Notice in the Mail
12/06//2017 - Card Mailed (Priority Mail) to Me
12/07/2017 - Card Received

1/19/18  --- Interview Date 2/21

2/21/18  ---  Approved on the Spot

  • 1 hour after the interview received uscis mobile app alert
  • Status changed from "Interview is scheduled" to "New Card Is Being Produced

2/26/18  --- Received hard copy of NOA for the Green Card

2/26/18  --- USCIS Mobile Status changed to "Card was mailed to me"

2/28/18 --- Permanent Resident/Green Card received :jest:

Oh hmm so it does. Yet it says "updated Jan 5" at the bottom. I'm throwing my hands up. I have no damn clue. I really wish we had one of those memory flash things from the Men in Black movies that wipe your memory so I can wipe mine of this whole thing.

lol I really think they're just trolling us.

Oh dang I hope it hasn't driven you crazy! Just try to keep busy with your husband and not think about it too much. The offices are a whole different dimension. Maybe it's like the Upside Down from Stranger Things!

I don't know what to think anymore.

Remember when I told you guys that the uscis made (by accident, I guess, I hope) 2 mistakes in my case?

1) lost/miss my I-765 form (which I called on august to fix it)

2) Typo error in my first name (called on august too)

Just received TODAY, more than 4 months later, an email saying that my service request for the typo error has been completed.

BUT, you know what's funny?

This time my LAST NAME has a typo... not my first name anymore.

And now every time I call for my 156 days pending EAD they just say that I should ask for a service request every 30 days so that I can get an update...

I... I don't know what to think anymore. Feeling dark and nihilist right now. And I'm usually very optimist.

Hope everyone is healthy and surrounded by love. 💕

That's how I feel since I filed for this thing. It just makes me wonder why me. And you, and some others. I mean, a lot of people here already received their cards and that's something, not everything but something. They can move on with their lives (and it IS a different feeling and especially a whole different mental state) while I just feel like I can't do anything anymore in this place regarding paperwork lol not in that "at least I have a EAD or AP" club yet.

Birthday is this week 🎂, please forces of the cosmos may you lighten up an officer's mind about our cases and make him approve everyone's EAD/AP cards soon...

Every time I called they were just surprised of how far behind my case is, but oh well "nothing I can do for you honey...  just wait"

I was trying to post it on a thread I've been following who have the same timeline as me (AOS June 2017 Filers!) (: There is a list of field offices on the USCIS website and the closest one would be the field office you're assigned to. It also shows which counties that specific Field Office they process interviews for.

Field Office - San Jose, CA

Married - 01/28/17

PD - 05/31/17

NOA1 (I-485, I-130, I-765) - 06/09/17 (Receipts start with MSC)

Biometrics - 06/27/17

"Interview Ready to be Scheduled" - 08/14/17

"Interview Scheduled" - 09/12/17

Interview NOA - 09/15/17

Interview Date - 10/13/17

EAD "Card in Production" - 09/19/17 (112 Days)

EAD "Case Approved" - 09/20/17

EAD "Card Mailed" - 09/21/17

EAD Approval Letter Received - 09/23/17

EAD Received - 09/25/17

I agree with you T_P...... I am starting to wonder if USCIS is short staff:)is this the reason for so many delays?  They need to hurry up and give out the EAD Cards so that people can apply for jobs with them.

Hi family and Happy New Year to you all!

Just to let you know that my thoughts and well wishes are with those who are still waiting on USCIS for their EADs.

It can be very disheartening entering 2018 and still counting days, yet nothing new from these people.

I know it's not easy but please don't lose hope at all,  help is on the way.

Hey y'all, I've been a silent watcher of this forum but figured I would chime in to say that today January 9th my ead card was mailed. So hopefully I will be receiving it soon! That is the only update it has had since they received it and I never received emails or anything to let me know it had changed today. My PD is august 4th and I had my biometrics done on September 7th

Hi all August filers! USCIS mailed my EAD on Jan 8th, my NOA is Aug 25th, but I got RFIE on Sept 25th.

I'm sure all your cards are already on their way..on the other hand, job interview these days will take much longer than getting your card. So I'd encourage those of you who want to work immediately to apply jobs while waiting, you might end up getting the job and card at the same time...like me. Worst case, you can use a job offer to expedite the card. Exactly what I did, and it helped!

My prayers to all of you, as we all know how it feels to waitttt for something we don't have control of.
