Just giving you all an update on my case. So it been 139 days and still nothing, did two SR, they were never assigned. I contacted my senator, left multiple message and so far have not received a call back. I have no idea what else to do!!!

So frustrating not knowing what’s going on and being powerless to do anything about it. But hopefully the Senators office will get back to you after New Years, they are probably on holiday. I learned that the person assigned to my case at the congressman’s didn’t work on Mondays or Tuesdays so that really delayed their response time and also time contacting USCIS....there’s not much we can do but keep pushing along. Hopefully you get something really soon!

They also say that it shouldn't take more than 90 days...So keep pushing, this isn't normal and they should hire more people if they are backed to a point they cannot respect their own timeline, especially given that people after August filers have received their stuff. We all know that their online date is pretty much bs.

That’s what I don’t understand, if they are so backlogged wouldn’t it be slow for everyone? If they are going in the order received. But they are FLY-ING through October! I wonder how case assignment works there. It seems like batches of cases get handed out to different groups of officers who work on those cases and then get assigned a new batch when done. 

 

So if case officer group A had a particularly high number of cases in their first batch, it would slow them down in that batch and the second batch. But if case officer group B had a standard first batch, it would allow them to continue processing at the standard rate through their subsequent batches.

 

I don’t know, just trying to rationalize the processing time difference between July/August and October 🤯🙃

I never came to an understanding even through the k1 process lol...All we can do unfortunately is go through the normal ways and call them on their bs. I feel for all August filers who haven't received their EAD/AP yet ;). Keep trying, and follow the procedure to submit a congressional inquiry!

i would like to inform all my fellow august filers that i received my NOA for the approval of AP and Ead today. it took 144 days for the approval. i did file an sr but haven't heard anything from them till date. also i wanted to ask you guys that how long does it take for the card to arrive after the approval date? my status hasn't changed online. is it normal?

Hey guys I just wanted to update y'all, I got my EAD combo card in the mail today received the approvals yesterday I can't express my excitement and relief that I'll be able to work and make some real progress with my life. The online case still shows received to all those still waiting I strongly urge u to contact your congressman office and don't be shy to let them know any hardships you're facing not being able to work cuz I went in detail and they didn't hesitate to help a week later my case was approved and it was my congressman office that got the update that was how involved they were in my case I'm so thankful. So far I've gone to SSA to get my name changed on my SSN my number still remains the same I'll be doing background checks tomorrow for one of my jobs the other I should be starting next week, wishing everyone that's still waiting the very best of luck you're all in my prayers. Big congrats to @currywarrior on getting your green card And all the best going forward
