Hey guys, how do I go about applying for my driver's license? Do I transferred over my valid unexpired drivers license , and just get a new Texas license or should I take the written  test and the road test? How do I go about it?  Should I apply for B or C drivers license?  Thanks guys.

@TexasfilerThe unexpired license that you have, is it Texas issued or international license. I think I might be able to give you most of the info that you need.

@Jesusboy thank you very much, it's my driver's license from my from country which expires 2021. I read something that kind of say but a bit contradictive that if you reside in Texas and from a different state or a different country once DL is valid and unexpired it could be transferred and in that case one is only allowed to do only the road test. Lol, I believe it can be done if from a different state, but naw not from a different country. Please share with me what you know. Thanks in advance

You are welcome :) and yes I have sent the documents today. We spoke to a Tier 2 officer after the documents were ready just to make sure we dont miss anything this time and all the documents are good. So the wait resumes... :)

Thank God, I am happy to hear  that it went off today. I pray that your file gets into the hands of good officers who will approve and send you your Card.

I got a response on my service request I made on November regarding my EAD ( 137 Days till now) Filed on 7th August

On December 13, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR1xxx705246MSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

On December 22, 2017, we sent a response to your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR1xxx705246MSC

On December 22, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR1xxx705246MSC, was completed.

They sent a message to my email saying that:

Recently, you contacted us regarding your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. USCIS has received your request and a review confirms your case is pending.  We will continue to work petitions and applications in the order in which they were received.  Once further action is taken, a notice will be sent to the address of record.
Even tho it's been 137 days they still are not processing my application, has anyone ever got a response like this?

You probably meant April 2017 right? And did you fill for AOS in 2017 or 2016?

No worries about the forum! We are all welcome to share our experience! I just noticed the dates didn't make much sense and it got me a bit confused haha.

Have you taken some steps, like reaching to your congress person? Have you made sure they have the correct mailing address? It's just seem like it has been a while and I wouldn't want them to cancel your application because you are not answering or something. Just seem awfully long.

Good morning family!

Hope we are all having a wonderful weekend? For those that are still waiting on USCIS for their EADs, just know that our God is a God of wonders. I'm very optimistic that you will surely get it. Please dont lose hope and also, if you can, try and call USCIS again this coming week before the year runs out. sincerely, I believe that every August filer should have received their EAD by now, so that 2018 will just be the year we receive our GCs. Regardless, it shall be sweet victories at last for all of us. This is to wish you all a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year ahead.
