Hey all, this may be a dumb question...but who does the EAD / AP cards?  Is it your local office or are they all handled by the National Service Center or something?  I'm just curious if your location has any impact on how fast you get the EAD/AP card...

National Service Center handles all EAD and AP Cards.....in yur NOAs you will hand the address where it came from.

*SR (Online) - November 27th (90 days mark) - no reply

*SR (Phone) - December 02 (95 days mark) - no reply

*Ombudsman form - December 8th (101 days) - reply

*Infopass - December 12th (105 days) - Did provide anything, just read the processing time page and said that need to wait:angry:

* USPS Informed delivered - December 13th and it shows that carrier tried to deliver a package coming from USCIS LEES SUMMIT PROCESSING FACILITY, MO. It was not delivered because carrier judged that there wasn't a safe place to leave package (We have lockboxes in the street). Called USCIS and they don't have any record of package or mail coming out under my cases #. USPS show that it is back to Kansas City Mail Facility.

*Ombudsman Reply via email - December 14th:

"The Ombudsman’s Office has determined that USCIS recently issued a decision regarding the application or petition referenced in your request for case assistance. If you do not receive the decision notice within 15 days, please contact USCIS at 1-800-375-5283."

* USCIS CASE STATUS - Case Received since August 28th.

Any similar experiences?

Letter was not delivered? I would try calling USCIS and talk to Officer, ask him about your status and he will provide the latest information to you. This letter could be an RFE, your approval or who knows.....

I called yesterday and she said that my case has no records of anything being sent. Today I checked USCIS under my account and the following is showing:

As of December 13, 2017, your request to have your Employment Authorization Document resent to you, referral number T1D34xxxxxxx9MSC, is currently not assigned for processing.

I never mentioned it was the employment authorization. I said that a package was sent and she reinforced that nothing was showing under my receipt numbers.

Did you check with the Post Office afterwards? Sometimes they don't deliver a mail, judging by someone not being at the house or whatnot and the mail is at the post officer for a while before it's returned to the sender. Try look into that, maybe it's there :)

Called USPS again and after investigating what happened they informed that USCIS sent two pieces of mail or package under the same tracking number. Since they did not know which one they paid for for, it was sent back to the sender. 2 Priority mail/package with $100 dollars insurance coming from USCIS Lees Summit Production Facility.

Called USCIS again, explained the case and a Tier 2 will contact me. Will update here after receiving the call. Thank you for you reply.

They just got back to me and said that one letter was my card and the other one was the receipt notice about it. I explained what USPS people told me and she was surprised that happened. Moving forward, she asked for my email address and by Dec. 28 I will receive an email which will clarify next steps as well as new tracking number.

So today I got an email saying that based on my service request, my EAD case is under review, and to expect a response within SIXTY DAYS. So not sure if things are moving along or not? Did others get this email for their SRs? Ugh!

When I logged back into myUSCIS, it now says my SR for the EAD has been completed. What does this mean??

@Aviinashh any progress? Who else is still waiting for their EAD/AP to be approved?

At least you got a timeframe. And it is progress, someone is making clicks.

The email I received said this "The status of this service request is: Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly."

"shortly" and no news until now

Not sure what to make of our latest case updates:

- 11/30 expedite request was completed

- 12/14 service request and general inquiry were both assigned to an officer (these were broken up on separate entries online)

- 12/14 response to service request and general inquiry were both sent (these were broken up on separate entries online)

- 12/14 service request and general inquiry were both completed (these were broken up on separate entries online)

I didn't even notice that the expedite was completed on 11/30 but I haven't heard any news either way.  Curious as to what these responses to my service request and general inquiry are (i only filed an SR, not sure what general inquiry is, maybe from the congressman?).  I wish the responses would just show on the online system.

Has anyone had this happen?  Did good news follow?

15/08/2017 AOS/EAD sent

17/08/2017 Package received

23/08/2017 NOA1 date

Oh that's bizarre. I would've thought that email is just a stock response and everyone gets the same wording.

I'd also say "shortly" is less than 60 days. haha. Well, good to know service requests are likely meaningless..
