Your SR has been completed though, while mine has just been assigned. I wonder how long it takes from 'assigned' to 'completed' -- do you know?

I didn't get a notification, it was just in myUSCIS. Any other progress on your side?

Not sure! I received an email notification with the SR status and when I logged in on MyUSCIS it said (probably all at the same time :/ no idea because I never saw them update by one one): 1) it has been assigned to an officer for review 2) we sent you something about your case (email I received I guess) 3) was completed.

And no, still nothing happened in real ways after that. But I hope we will be receiving either approval letter or the ead card before Christmas. Hopefully this or next week!

Timeline (From B2 visa to AOS)

July 15, 2016 -> Got married

August 4, 2017 -> Package received
August 14, 2017 -> NOA for I-130 and I-485 (not I-765... called multiple times to ask about this but was told to wait)
August 25, 2017 -> NOA for Biometrics Appt (I-485)
August 30, 2017 -> Sent email asking to look for I-765 (My I-765 was LOST)
September 8, 2017 -> Biometrics Appt for I-485
September 26, 2017 -> Received email from USCIS I-765 found and PD August 4
October, 2017 -> NOA for I-765 and Tier 2 officer cancelled 2nd biometrics

November 3, 2017 -> Raised SR online for I-765

December 11, 2017 -> SR showed as "completed" by the assigned officer

January 8, 2018 -> Name was updated

Congrats @Jesusboy! So your online status still says "Case received" but you got the approval notices in the mail? Did you have SRs open for the EAD too? Mine are still unassigned...

Yes. The online update is not reliable. I've been in school, so there  is no way to find out, I got tired of checking for updates and decided to call USCIS  again yesterday. The agent that I spoke with said I should leave my number for a call back from a tier 2 officer not knowing that my approval letter has been waiting for me in the mail box.

I eventually spoke with the tier 2 officer. She said I should call back today or tomorrow for a tracking number for the combo.

Concerning the SR, have you tried to call them lately? Please do,cos something might be there for you.

Unfortunately, I'm never free in the morning to call (always super busy at work). My wife could call on Friday -- I'm just nervous they'll say "oh you just need to wait". Both our conversations so far with Tier 2 officers has been completely unhelpful so far...

Hey guys  just giving  u guys  update No update on myGc interview date yet. But got job finally thank God🤗 all be starting tomorrow. Have question  do I have to walk  around with my  EAD card everywhere?

Congrats , I leave it at home with my SSC because if you loose it will take weeks or months and cost couple hundred dollars . It also does not confer any status only authorizes you to work so just copy it and carry a copy of that around and your passport maybe . But this is not necessary really . If you have a driver license or state id which are cheap and quick to replace that it sufficient also

Well then its time to get one 😁. Usually when you get a state id you get a temporary id on a paper to carry around which will be good. I am pretty sure EAD replacement is the same price as the application so around 400-500 . Your call

Hey all, this may be a dumb question...but who does the EAD / AP cards?  Is it your local office or are they all handled by the National Service Center or something?  I'm just curious if your location has any impact on how fast you get the EAD/AP card...

11/01/2017 AOS Package sent via USPS - Chicago Lockbox

11/07/2017 Package delivered after being lost by USPS (thanks USPS!)

11/15/2017 Received email and text notifications from USCIS

12/05/2017 Walk in Biometrics

01/19/2017 Text that EAD is in production

I believe the National Benefit Centers process EAD applications; but then the case is transferred to your local field office for processing of the I-485 and other applications that might require interview. Check your receipt number, what are the first three letters? does it say "MSC"?
