Yeah, you might not get any response for your SR since your interview is so close (btw, all the best on it! :D) and getting the green card is the best option.

Did you get the interview notification before or after they answered your SR?

My theory is that if I get an "interview ready to be scheduled" notification within this month (which I don't think anyways), I might not get any update on my SRs either. No idea! We will see...

Yeah :( They are taking a while... Maybe we just are kind of in the group of people who didn't get updates on their their EAD or interview scheduled within the 75-110 day period and we are in the group of those who will get their stuff done between 110 to 180 days (6 months, which is the "standard," it also takes longer for others, hopefully none of us)

I believe (if I remember correctly) you raised a SR 6 days after me so you might get some news soon as well, even an automated email like me ha. All the best to you too!!

It changed 5 weeks after I raised the first SR. But it changed straight from „biometrics fee received“ to Interview scheduled“

May 20th: we got married

August 7: I130, I131, I485, I765 via USPS to Chicago lockbox

August 10: package arrived

August 10: priority date

August 16: checks cashed

August 17: received notification via text and email

August 22: received NOA’S

August 25: received biometrics appointment

Sept 5: Biometrics done

Oct 10: submitted expedite

Oct 17: faxed job offer

Nov 14: interview scheduled

Dec 19: interview

Dec 19: Interview done

Dec 19: Approved and temporary stamp in passport

Jan 1: Green Card received in mailbox

Jun 19 2019: ROC

Hey all -- just wanted to give an update on how our Green Card interview went.

Overall the interview went super well. We showed up at 12:00 for a 12:30 interview -- we were both called back right at 12:30. If anyone is wondering (I have seen a few forums asking about it) we wore nice but casual clothes. I wore nice jeans, button up, and sweater. Our interviewer was an immigrant himself, I don't know if that gives some extra empathy but it seemed so. He was very nice and was deliberate with his questions but didn't seem like he was trying to pin us down with a bad response or anything.

Some of the questions he asked:

- Seems usual questions from the I-485 app: confirm name, DOB, residence, not involved in terrorist or criminal activity, etc.

- We did need to explain that my wife is staying with my parents until our religious wedding back in her home country in January, and we brought evidence. He seemed to believe us entirely and we had no problems there.

- What documents we had for evidence of our relationship (we had joint bank account, insurance, car title, pictures, etc.)

- How we met and decided to get married (explained trips, meeting parents, etc.)

- What plans we have for the future in our marriage (explained my going back to grad-school, kids in the future, house etc.)

So not too many questions -- more just a conversation that lasted about 15 mins. He then gave us a document saying that he recommends us for approval (then explained the 2 year green card and citizenship stuff). He also said since my wife wants to return to her country as soon as she can to finish planing the religious wedding in January -- that he will process the application as soon as possible so she has the green card in hand.

Overall a really great experience. I know all the experiences can be different -- but I thought it would be good to share a positive one. I don't know if its all dependent on the IO, or maybe since Cincinnati office probably doesn't get a lot of cases so its more laid back, or something else.

Good luck everyone!

@Aviinashh for you especially since you are at the Cincinnati office too.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and thanks a lot more for mentioning about me being from Cincinnati :) I appreciate it a lot. I thought Cincinnati office was wayyyy behind the interviews times but looks like they are on right time ! I wish you and your wife a happy married life and all the best for your future and god bless you both :)

That’s just a standard answer. I raised 2 SR. Nothing happened after I got this notice. I’m on day 123 now.

I don’t expect anything to happen soon about my SR.

Good thing I have my interview scheduled for next week so i hope I’m close to my Green Card 🤞🏼

All the best for the interview :)

So I just received an update on my case. 2nd SR raised online on November 3, for reference.

Waiting time: 129 days as of today.

On December 11, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SRXXXXXXXXXX, was completed.

Not sure what happens next but at least it is something, I guess. Hope all of us receive some news this week.

Have a great week everyone.

This is good. This is what I think you should do if you are reading this. Call USCIS right now, request to talk to a tier 2 officer. The officer will tell you exactly the status of things with the fact that the enquiry is completed. Your Card might be on the way from what I suspect. Call them

@Jesusboy I agreed with you - because at 129 days something should be happening now...

Does anyone know if we absolutely need to bring our foreign passport to the interview? I have to submit it to another country's embassy to get a visa... so just in case we get an interview scheduled before the passport is returned.

April 2020 - January 2021 RoC

Jan 2022 - September 2022 Citizenship

Yes, you will need to bring it with you. The IO will more then likely want to see your passport.
