Sorrry You asking  me the question? What is pd? 🤔

PD is your "Priority Date" (the date the package was received by USCIS).

Your biometric appoinment letter should come in by Friday.

Very good news. K-1 visa is generally faster in processing.

Congratulations Stephanie B!  :jest:  I guess the processing can be fast depending on the person who is handling our files.

This is just for our digestion.

USCIS have different processing times for various visa categories.

For K-1 visa applicants, the process is usually very fast for applicants in this category. The entire process from date of filing of the petition to the time the green card is issued can take at least four to six months. I have seen few cases that took 8 months, 1 year or more. This could be due to complications with filings from the onset. Other reasons could be due to high volume of visa petitions at that particular center or the kind of USCIS personnel handling the case (this is a general problem with all categories). Interviews are generally waived for applicants in this category.

For a B1/B2 and other visa categories.

If you are married to a US citizen, and filed a Form I-130 petition, concurrently with your Form I-485 application to adjust status along with your Form I-765, application for initial work authorization. Normal processing time of your case is probably going to be more than 6 months from filing to adjudication. If all goes well, both you and your US citizen spouse will be requested to appear for a joint interview at the local USCIS office. But applicants in these categories sometimes complain of delays and errors from USCIS. Even if you overstayed your visa, the fact that you are married to a USC completely overrules that part.

The bottom line is do not panic if you haven't heard from them. Know the visa category you belong and be familiar with the time frame. Your time will definitely come and petition adjudicated and approved. Most importantly, make sure you pray regularly about your petition; prayer works and God answers.

Just a word of encouragement and not legally binding..
