Sorry I did not mean to hurt any feelings. I just feel desperate right now,about,not getting my EAD and I didnt know contacting your congressman was a right in our case, I just thought it was asking for a favor therefore I said I didnt know if all politicians would be helpful regarding this issue.

I understand you totally - go ahead and ask for the help -  you got nothing to loose at this point - it's either they approve you now or later .

Congrats to everyone getting their cards. 👏

At the same time sorry to be disappointed in THE system, again. #ventpost

Day 125 here and nothing. Makes me think we should have filed later and probably would have had better luck. Right? ... Right? That was the way to do it.

Yes this is really a great community but still this is hard and very unfair for some of us.

Thank you all for being here. Your support made the waiting more bearable.

There is zero positivity left in me for this process and some of you know I have. tried. to stay positive. :D <- that's my face while saying this.

I'll probably stop coming here for a while, definitely turning notifications off, in anyways I am sure they'll take more months in my case just for the ead and probably another year for gc because that's life here. Lol

Traveling the world with a laptop over the past 6 years to be stuck in this country for more time than I can imagine with no real normal friends (we live far away from the city and people :/ but completely surrounded by nature and dogs).

How did we end up being so bureaucratically unlucky?

My husband says it probably is the karma that needs to balance out since we've found each other already. Hah.

I just wanted to be a normal person with valid national documents (ssn, dl, mi, etc). I guess that was too much to ask.

Hope all of my august filers friends hear more news regarding their case this month :)

You guys were here since the beginning (I'm a very early August filer) and one always remembers that.

Wishing you guys a long and prosper 2018 👍

I'll be stalking you guys for the ROC. Although I'll probably be late again.

One last question: is it true that if you are married for 2 years or more (which will probably be my case) by the interview date they give you a 10 gc instead of 2 years? Can you still apply for ROC after 4 years with that card?

Timeline (From B2 visa to AOS)

July 15, 2016 -> Got married
August 3, 2017 -> Mailed AOS packet (I-130, I-485, I-765)
August 4, 2017 -> Package received
August 14, 2017 -> NOA for I-130 and I-485 (not I-765... called multiple times to ask about this but was told to wait)
August 25, 2017 -> NOA for Biometrics Appt (I-485)
August 30, 2017 -> Sent email asking to look for I-765 (My I-765 was LOST)
September 8, 2017 -> Biometrics Appt for I-485
September 26, 2017 -> Received email from USCIS I-765 found and PD August 4
October, 2017 -> NOA for I-765 and Tier 2 officer cancelled 2nd biometrics

November 3, 2017 -> Raised SR online for I-765

December 11, 2017 -> SR showed as "completed" by the assigned officer

January 8, 2018 -> Name was updated

January 18, 2018 -> interview scheduled

With RFIE its not black and white many people still got approved in a timely manner and not a complete reset but they usually set your file back and approve other people first . Its a possibility but you will find that out with a congressional inquiry

If I may add - that once congressman/senator contacted USCIS they will have to give a response to congressman/senator's office within 72 hours - which means that USCIS will have to pull our file even if it is at the bottom of the well.

Well with USCIS I think its about giving the right amount of pressure too. Have you done SRs ? How many and what happened ? Have you contacted the Congressman/women, senators office ? Like Texasfiller said they have to pull your file and give updates on it and usually will approve very soon after ? Tell us what you have done so far ? I just received my ssn card and I know the feeling without it. It sucks so much you are like here but cant participate in anything ... But never forget the end goal its the green card not EAD :)

na don't be disappointed. Am on122nd day and still nothing but I know something good is going to happen very soon. To your question my answer is yes. Hope your interview comes after July 15 2018 and you will receive a 10 year GC and anything before that date then you will have to wait another 2 years for ROC but looking at the way USCIS is working am sure AOS interview is going to be late.

I love this! When I feel really angry and upset about the system, I try to take a moment to feel glad that I found someone I love who makes all this paperwork worth it.

Since I'm stuck here and can't travel, it means my wife is essentially stuck too because she doesn't want to travel without me. It's an unfortunate situation but we're in it together -- all this wretched paperwork shows all the love and support my partner has for me.

USCIS good morning what's going on?   We need to hear some good news by now to next week for @Jesusboy @Hamilton @Canelita @listeague and all the others who are waiting patiently for their card.  You have already made us look like fools, feel like a nobody, when in fact we are highly educated, professional people who had good jobs, our own vehicle, owned our own house back where we came from. Please USCIS give us our EAD cards for Christmas so that we all can re-build our lives and take care of our family.  Thanks again, I will make sure to save a BIG Turkey leg for you OK - I have learnt that Turkey is like the thing here for you guys.

I called uscis yesterday and my heart sank even further and I'm just not feeling very optimistic. I spoke to a tier 2 officer who said my case has been with the fbi since Sept 29 undergoing background checks and as of late they are following new procedures which requires more detailed checks pushing Ead wait to up to 6 months which I still think is crazy considering ppl who filed in October are getting EADs so what's so different about them and us *sigh* I sometimes wish I had done a spousal visa instead I gave up having my family at my wedding just cuz I thought this was a better process I'm starting to accept what is though and praying the Lord will have mercy on us all

I thought they schedule interviews only after they finish all the background checks and as per your status update, on October 18th your case is ready to be scheduled for interview and how come T2 says it's stuck with FBI on  December 7th and I agree that if the rules change then how come October filers are receiving their EADs

Very true what I am thinking is the T2 just looked at biometrics done and said the generic response. Same when I went to info pass really . I would call again and specifically ask that how do I have that status if my background checks are still pending ... But really it doesn't matter. They wont be able to speed anything up ... Sometimes I think about too, spousal visa would have maybe been a better choice in terms of money and everything .
