That's right we are legal immigrants - I got help when I asked -  Senator John Cornyn is a Republican and his office dealt with my case in a very professional manner .

YES. thanks for sharing. If you are not for stereotyping people in terms of race gender religious beliefs  , which I believe in, then you should not participate in the same thing ...

Well in that point I agree with the president and republicans and you should too coming from france and I am from germany we very well know what uncontrolled immigration can cause in terms of terrorists coming in if no one knows who the hell they are. Especially in france...

Please dont come here saying those things that are in my opinion inflammatory when you haven't even talked to your congressman... The president is married to a LEGAL immigrant. I live in a very republican state and most of my friends here voted Trump and they are very nice and hard working people who do not care about race or where you come from as long as you follow the law and do it on THERE terms .

@mustang85635:D you sounded like a lawyer

I studied law and business hah ... I believe that america is so great because of the constitution and bill of rights where it doesn't matter where you come from everyone has to follow the same set of rules. america is very immigration friendly overall letting in millions of people every year. What is being debated and what republicans dont like is illegal immigration and I agree with that. So I will leave it at that :)

Sorry I did not mean to hurt any feelings. I just feel desperate right now, about, not getting my EAD and I didnt know contacting your congressman was a right in our case, I just thought it was asking for a favor therefore I said I didnt know if all politicians would be helpful regarding this issue.

I understand no hard feelings at all ! You should contact your congressman or senators office and I am sure you will get help you need. If you dont then you can come here and vent your frustration ...

Day 105 and nothing, status unchanged... Couldnt register on USPS notification because I couldnt "verify my identity... ":( :(. My congressman ia republican si I dont know about asking+ do you need to justify why you need to expedite if you write to him?

Politics is not my cup of tea. I know i entered this country legally by paying I-129F, K1 visa and now AOS fees and I also know that in future i have to pay fees for ROC and so on. All this fees goes to USCIS and I know that USCIS  is one of the government department in the US..Anyways when the govt officials are coming forward to help us with services then why not take them ?

I also want to add that once we all start working we also pay taxes and again it goes to the government so to me i dont mind if it's someone in power or the opposition. If they are offering services then go for it.

That basically mean we might update your status online to RFIE received but dont count on it because our online system sucks Haha. dont hold your breath. I would wait until I get up to 90 days then contact congressman. They will tell your congressman either we are working on it and it will get approved soon or no wait longer because RFIE reset the clock .

With RFIE its not black and white many people still got approved in a timely manner and not a complete reset but they usually set your file back and approve other people first . Its a possibility but you will find that out with a congressional inquiry
