So I just spoke to USCIS and the lady says all i have to do is wait  and the officer is working on many expedited cases. I said my employer is waiting for me to start work and a lot of pressure is building and she's like I understand sir but you will have to wait because when the case is expedited the communication happens between you and the officer and that is why the officer has e-mailed you asking you to fax the offer letter and right now you will have to wait for his/her response.

Then I saw the reply from local congressman's office and he said "

"""I forwarded your job offer letter to my Congressional Liaison last Thursday to ensure it was placed in your file for review. As of this morning, I have not received an update as to where the adjudication process is.  I will follow-up again this Thursday to ensure it was received and is being considered.

I’ll keep you posted!

Thanks!"""

I have job orientation tomorrow and that's for 2 hours and the HR said I will get paid for those 2 hours. I had to ask the HR to not to pay anything since am not authorized to work (also I showed her my SSN during the interview which clearly states "authorized to work with permission with DHS" and she said I can attend the orientation because there are few more new employees joining but the payment will be kept on hold until I present the EAD. Also she said we will discuss about pushing the joining date further to next week or so.

@AviinashhAll the best with your orientation - yes its a good idea for them to put the payment on hold for right now - hopefully it wont be too long before things sorted out:)

Hey @Aviinashh, @Texasfiler, @T_P -- we haven't heard anything -- we better not end up with an RFE after all this radio silence!!

I don't think we will get a RFIE because RFIE come within a month or maximum 2 months but a RFE can come a week before interview as well. Even if I do get a RFE I can send it in 1-2 days

Hey @mushroomspore! We have the same PD. Which state are you in, and is your case "ready to be scheduled"?

Update from Tier 2 conversation today:

- Yes, the service requests you filed a month ago still is not assigned

- Nothing can be done

- Opened a new service request -- wait 15 more days

So I don't think this is of any consequence, but we now have a "general inquiry" open on the 1-485...

What do you mean by general inquiry?  Is it on your online status?

also still stuck at fingerprints received . I went through other countries immigration system before this is by far the worst ever. They cant even update there internal system with the system that the applicant sees. And when you want to talk to someone you have some robocops talking to you like you dont know anything. They should directly let you speak to level two without those tier one people.

Yes when I logged in online, it says that a "general inquiry" has been opened for the 485. Similar to the inquiry that's open on my EAD/AP (and unassigned after a month).
