HI Everyone! I hope someone can help me or offer me some confirmation regarding a question I have regarding joint bank account as evidence questions (I don't exactly know where to ask this question). I am still preparing and gathering evidences for our ROC as well. I was wondering, how much balance or deposits should we have in our joint bank account? We have our own individual accounts but have a joint bank account that we use to pay for bills, church contribution and to send funds to each other. We probably have an average of $1000 as monthly deposits through that account. We do have bank statements that goes back to date of our marriage and each statements has at least 10 transactions per month (usually 15 or more). Is that going to be okay? I just hope that they don't send us RFE's for not combining our entire finances. We prefer to do things this way, less fights and helps us keep an accounting of our expenses.

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to further validate that USCIS is not updating their system online. My online file had not been updated since my NOA1 on Sept. 7th ( I filed on August 30th), however, two approval notices showed up in my mailbox today. Have faith everyone!

I know this topic was covered somewhere in the feed but I forget what I read...did someone say it took them three weeks to get their card from approval?

Yes from the 500 applications before me they stopped updating NOV 17. Its crazy if USCIS was a private business capitalism would eat it up and spit it out haha.

I received EAD/AP combo card like 8-9 days after approval date on the notice - online status to this day at case received.

What I did was call in after approval notice in the mail and they will transfer you to level two because your status is not updated so you can ask level two for real time info. There internal system has all the updates. So when I called in the level two IO told me card is in production and should be sent out soon . On the same day card was mailed (got tracking number as pop up on my phone thanks to informed delivery) and delivered on the very next day although I live many states away from St Louis MO.( production facility in lee summit)

Good morning everyone!

I have an incoming letter from USCIS, coming from NBC at Lee's Summit! I'm super excited. I am anxiously waiting for AP to travel in March (did not apply for EAD since I'm still in school... but now realize I should have). Hopeful that this is notice approval for AP. FYI my PD is August 23rd.

Sending all my best wishes to everyone who is still waiting. I'm sorry it really sucks :-( but hopefully the wait will soon be over...

Aug 22 AOS package (I-485, I-130, I-131) sent to Chicago lockbox

Aug 23 Delivered

Hello everyone! I am way late to the game here.

We filed our AOS, EAD, and AP on 8/28/17. The timelines here say we should be expecting something by 12/9 for the EAD, which would be wonderful.

It looks like processing is taking longer than 90 days, though? How were you able to check the status online? I'm such a newbie at all this.... even though we've been working the paper trail over a year.

Sorry to say I'm just now joining the August party!

Welcome to the group.....

The thing is, USCIS Tracker isnt working 100%......some cases are updated some others arent. You can check yours here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do  . The best way for you to find out where you are is calling USCIS and asking to speak to an officer. Level 1 will "maybe" not want to transfer but you insist and level 2 or the Officer will be able to give more details about your case.

Enjoy

Are USC petitioners able to talk directly to Tier 2 officers about our cases? Or does the foreign applicant have to be on the line?

Yes even I have read about someone not receiving their EAD even after 3 weeks of approval. Hope they received it by now !

Yes thay can speak but with the applicant's permission. When you call USCIS they will ask if you are the petitioner or the applicant. If you say you are the petitioner they will ask to speak to the applicant and when the applicant speaks the rep will ask if you allow the petitioner to speak on your behalf and once you say yes then you can hand over the phone to the petitioner

I’ve seen that yesterday but forgot to upload. That’s why I guess the status are not getting updated because DOS is working on the sites.

Nope not necessary. When my wife called USCIS I only had to say "yes she may speak on my behalf" and then i got back to cooking:whistle:

The customer service rep said the only way my wife can speak on my behalf is if the officer puts a note saying my wife is translating for me. We are both native English speakers....

No department of state website is completely separate to the DHS websites so I am sure has nothing to do with it
