The email usually contains only a few of the letters that you will receive for the day. Check the informed delivery website for the complete list/photos of all the mail that you will receive for the day and have received for the past week. 😊

Good morning guys, I finally got some good news - my EAD card was approved, approval notice was sent out yesterday in the mail and my I-485 is now in que for ready to be scheduled for an interview.  I

Just want to update you guys.   Received two approval notices today AP and EAD. Hopefully the card will come soon in the mail.

Reporting back from the September forum...

 

VJ members there are receiving their EAD cards or postal notification of approval without any online updates to their case. I'm not sure whether this means USCIS has a problem with their system  or whether they have new staff who aren't following the processes correctly.  I have been scanning batches of case numbers to find out where the processing is most focussed at the moment but this is prety pointless if USCIS aren't updating their statuses.

 

Just to try to offer some hope that no case update doesn't necessarily mean that your case has not been touched.

11/07/16    I-129F mailed to Dallas lockbox
11/09/16    i-129F received date    11/14/16    NOA1 Date on Hard Copy Notice    11/15/16    NOA1 Text and Email. Case sent to CSC    11/18/16    NOA1 Hard Copy Received

01/30/17...NOA2 approved per USCIS status update  02/07/17..NOA2 Hard Copy Received   02/15/17 NVC assigned case number  02/16/17  NVC case number received (by phone/scheduled medical)

02/17/17  NVC despatched case to London (In Transit)   02/21/17 Case arrived in London   02/22/17 Status updated to 'Ready'   03/03/17 Letter received from Embassy

Eh, me too.  My philosophy has always been that the universe has its own timing, etc.  But lately, I've just been on rage-mode, which is very unusual for me.  I've always been the super-chill friend in my social circles but this whole process is seriously testing my limit!

My husband kept telling me to just take it easy, because I have no control over what is happening on the inside of USCIS Office. Yes, I am very disappointed because I had my plans to travel for Christmas.  But with what's going on now, it brought me to start doing some deep thinking - the conclusion is - Our timing, is not God's timing. We might never know the reasons for  all this delay in receiving our EAD cards, but one thing I do know is that we all gonna get it/the GC eventually.  God is still working behind the scene - tomorrow is a brand new month  - and guess what - we do have something to look forward to.:)

It's been the exact opposite for me. I was in rage-mode a few weeks ago. Now I am super-chill. Maybe it's the holidays.

I'm starting to feel depressed... We had our interview last wednesday, it went fine but since then we didn't get any news, we don't even know if our petition was approved, nothing... I guess having the interview the day before Thanksgiving didn't help, but still...

 

And also no news about the EAD/AP of course.

Just hang in there... I am sure it was all good. From what I have read in the past, we can have 1 of 2 officers at our interviews:

- One who already went through our case BEFORE the interview, not necessarily telling you about it. They can approve you right there or during the day because they are familiar already.

- One who didn't see your case yet, and will do it AFTER the interview. This can take them from 1 week to a couple of months, not sure why.

This last one will make it look like it is taking longer, depending on the officer. Some are faster than others to go through a case. It is reduced to how fast is the officer.

I also think you will get the greencard instead of ead/ap since you had your interview already.

Sorry you're going through this suspense. It will all be alright. Try not to let in those sad thoughts for too long, I know it is hard but it does no good for your health and your family. :)

Timeline (From B2 visa to AOS)


July 15, 2016 -> Got married
August 3, 2017 -> Mailed AOS packet (I-130, I-485, I-765)
August 4, 2017 -> Package received
August 14, 2017 -> NOA for I-130 and I-485 (not I-765... called multiple times to ask about this but was told to wait)
August 25, 2017 -> NOA for Biometrics Appt (I-485)
August 30, 2017 -> Sent email asking to look for I-765 (My I-765 was LOST)
September 8, 2017 -> Biometrics Appt for I-485
September 26, 2017 -> Received email from USCIS I-765 found and PD August 4
October, 2017 -> NOA for I-765 and Tier 2 officer cancelled 2nd biometrics

November 3, 2017 -> Raised SR online for I-765

December 11, 2017 -> SR showed as "completed" by the assigned officer

January 8, 2018 -> Name was updated 

January 18, 2018 -> interview scheduled

Hi I filed in August 2nd NBC Missouri from Phoenix,AZ my PD 7th, I'm on day 117, I did SR last Sunday 11-26 and I didn't receive any news expecting an answer by 12-8 , this is just not right so many people from august still waiting, I'm praying to God,  to help us All 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.
