Am sure this christmas will bring good news to everyone :)

I'm a little nervous because my wife and I will be traveling across the country to be with her family over Xmas, so I won't be able to access my mail for either an EAD/AP or an interview letter (if any of this ever happens!!!!).

You will have to count on either Informed Delivery or Online Case Status or both

Yeah but we'll be gone for a few weeks so even if I see informed delivery, I won't be able to open the mail... and I have a nasty feeling that the online case status will never update for me. There are some people who are still at "fingerprints fee received" even after they receive their GC, and with my luck, I think I'll be one of them.

Guys, i Will be on over 100 days by next week. No changing so far for my 130,131 and 765. So I'm planning to contact our senator or congressman. Any of you guys know how to ask them to involve in this immigration process? Is it alright to ask for their help eventho we don't have any financial problem or job offer ? Who should I contact for better chance to expedite the EAD, senator or congressman? I've never contacted USCIS and I'm not planning too because from your posts, it seems useless. I appreciate any respond. Thank you guys. Be patient and congrats to everyone who has been in a smooth track 🥂

I've contacted my congresswoman and it took about a week until I got the news that my card was being produced. It also helped, i think, that i opened up a Service Request, but honestly I dont think there's a pattern or a specific way to get that, lots of other files here have done the same and no news yet :(

Did you open a service request before you contacted your congresswoman ? Or can you contact your congressman right away without opening a service request first ? Or should I do both at the same time? Seems like contacting USCIS is useless...

Yeah I raised the SR before contacting. It had already been assigned to an officer and the process was complete but that doesnt mean your card will be produced right away, it can sit there for weeks and weeks so after that i decided to contact her. Again, i dont know if this process is set in stone, but that's what I did. And i dont know how was the experience contacting your local representative but mine was super nice, super understanding of the situation and how USCIS can take a long time to process something, so maybe that also helps :)

They are :D thank you! I'm leaving at the end of next week and I'm the point where I'm starting to get sad and the fact that this is going to be my life for now on. It's a sobering thought and I feel like it's part of being an immigrant, but my husband is very supportive and helps me with that.

I know you'll get your EAD soon and even if you miss the flight dates, try to come here as soon as you can (I missed a flight date in September because I was innocent enough to think I'd get my AP so quickly hahaha so I saved up money to come visit as soon as I'd get it) . This whole process can drain the energy out of you and getting to be with family is probably one of the greatest energy boosters out there to keep going!
