Do You Need to Bring Pictures to the Interview

Hello:

I see some people have said they brought 2 photo's to the interview and had to sign them etc--but these are not on the list of things to items to bring to the interview. Could someone explain if these pictures are necessary or not? I thought during Biometrics I had pictures taken as well as fingerprints.  For the initial N-400 application itself, pictures were not required.

You don't have to, no.

 

However, personally I plan on bringing photos to my interview, because I have heard of cases where the IO stated they cannot use the photos taken at the biometrics for one reason or another---so this way I can save any delay if I have another set to hand over right then and there.

 

If I don't need them at the interview, they won't go to waste because I'll just save them for when I apply for my passport and use them for that.

+1. when I applied last year photos were still a requirement, I submitted two with the application, and still brought two more to the interview just in case. Used one for the passport later on anyways.

I also intend to bring photos, its better to have them and if not just use them for the passport
